@Moving Pictures Kenya thank you for bringing this story up. We really appreciate. Mama Florence raised two issues she needs support 1. Her leaking house 2. Her needs especially upkeep and medical Could you lead in setting up an M-changa so that we fans can support her on the above? That house in my rough estimate may require about 70 sheets approximately. We can begin by raising funds for the mabati, then labour costs. Let's engage and see how we can support mama Florence Luseno.
Good job!a big fun of Jacob Luseno songs..just played his playlist right now for remembrance.......tafta tena wale wanamziki wagongwe..akina Charles shisundi bring us those legend stories
This is marvellous... My late mother and I were avid supporter and fan of the late Luseno and his songs. I would travel from London England and play his songs with my mum in her living room at home in Chavakali until her death in 2011. When working in the Bank in Kenya, my late mum would visit me in Nairobi and then on a Sunday, we would visit Bora Bora where he played in the afternoons. Sunday Lunch was our favourite there! Kudos Bonventure..
You have done a good job. Well edited. I came to learn that she hails from where my grandmother comes from. Of cause I will get in touch so that we are connected even more. Well done for this content. From UK
Such are the memories worth extensive archiving for the benefit of current and future generations. Thanks Omwami Bonventure for heralding the process. Maestro Jacob Luseno was personally known to me n' l am a great lover of his music. Am working on a project of establishing an equivalent of 'The Hall of Fame' in Kakamega n' Maestro Luseno will be among those to be featured. Orio muno.
The song @2:10 and 34:55 has a very splendid beat. @Bonventure Mwayuli please kindly let me know the name of the song. True; Jacob Luseno grew up in Senende Tiriki. However, there appears to be a need for clarification regarding the Father of Jacob Luseno who did NOT return from war and the person who said the graves on the ancestral farm MUST NOT be cemented, which Mama Florence Lihavi Luseno heard. Although she came into the Luseno family in the mid-sixties long after the 2nd World War. For the Abatiriki, Jacob Luseno was a Mtiriki because Batirichi comprise the ONLY Abaluhya Sub-Ethnicity where anybody from Kenya can be a member so long as they are man enough to undergo the Abatiriki rituals. What we MUST find out again is where Jacob Luseno's mother came from. Most people know that she was a Mtirichi and came to Mumbesta from Senende after they met with Jacob's Father at Banja, which was the terminus for all buses that came to Abaluhyaland from Nairobi.
