"Flawless" is one of the most heartwarming songs in the series when it comes to its message. Twilight's role in this song is especially nice, because out of all of the Mane Six ponies she's usually the one who puts the most pressure on herself to be perfect, to the point where she's had actual meltdowns when she fell short of her own expectations. Here, every member of the Mane Six own the fact that they'll never be perfect, but they'll also keep learning and growing from their mistakes, all throughout their lives. They've come to love each other in spite of their flaws, and they've actually grown a lot as people because of each other. It's very sweet.

I don’t really think that people should have ever been so critical of the main six for multiple reasons. Let alone judge this song in it’s context. Twilight *did* talk about her flaws. It’s in the first half of the song. “My mistakes are all written in ink.” Even if she never published the friendship journal, Celestia still has the letters that Twilight sent her. She knows about her own flaws, that’s why she wrote them down for people to learn from, and to show that you can grow and be a better person. Think about it. If she didn’t acknowledge her flaws *at all* , then this song would be written VERY differently. FlutterShy like I and other people who struggle with shyness and/ or anxiety. Most likely. Will have to learn how to keep our cool in social situations multiple times. I’m guilty of this. (Personal experience here): I used to have a family member that lived in the exact same house as me when I was a kid. And after they moved away with their spouse, I started struggling with talking to them. Even though I knew them for my entire childhood. Even though they’re still a nice person to me. And even if they’re pretty much the same person that I remember from when I was little. I still freeze up and stay silent around them. Rarity and Rainbow Dash. While generous and loyal. Are still people who more often than not egocentric. So sometimes their self conceded-ness can cloud their better judgment. Making their actions feel wrong. Pinkie Pie’s upbeat attitude may feel out of place in certain circumstances. Especially ones where the situation is dire. But that’s only her trying to ease the nerves of those around her, by trying to lift their spirits by doing what she does best. Making people laugh and smile. And Apple Jack can be painfully honest to a huge fault. And way too eager to make good impressions on others and do her job right. But in doing so, she’s trying her best to do 100% and nothing less. It’s her inner feelings that tell her to be and do the best that she can. Plus. If they wrapped up their flaws far too soon. And just made the episodes going forward with perfect characters. It would just feel boring and preachy. You have to keep in mind that this show ran for 9 seasons. So doing that at the wrong point in time could very easily lead to lack luster episodes, and a series finale that underserved heavily. Or worse. No series finale at all. Maybe they were playing it safe to avoid that. Which I can understand how that was annoying, but remember. This show is ran by Hasbro. And they kind of have a knack for just dropping things the second that they don’t sell well.
I love this song. But the fact they sang this whole song and still couldnt convinced the crowd to not judge them from the book. Its pretty funny. MLP will forever be a big part of my life even if im getting older
Can we all just appreciate a few things 1 finally a version not marked for kids so we can enjoy the comments 2 the singing is on point and if you focus enough you can listen to each different pony singing or listen together with all of them meshed so well 3 the actual message of the song and that someone can relate to at least one of the ponies singing And 4 the fact that it exists and that a show originally targeted towards kids has such an awesome soundtrack

I've always been really impressed at how well everyone sings in character. Andrea Libman in particular is incredible here, every little squeak in Pinkie's voice at 1:26 is just so on point.

The reason why I love these kind of songs is because I can understand what they are saying. And I love this song because this song literally represents the mane 6, and their personality's.
