- New York City Mayor Eric Adams has suggested migrants could fill the lifeguard shortage thanks to their ‘excellent’ swimming abilities.
“If you can illegally wade across the Rio Grande that automatically qualifies you to troll a pool in New York,” Sky News Australia host James Macpherson said in response.
“He blames the bureaucracy for the fact these people can’t work.
“It’s not the bureaucracy it’s the fact they’re their unlawfully.”
Most of them will not want to work as they get free money.

As they had to walk or swim across the Rio Grande dodging alligators, couldn't they also work at the zoo? I still can't believe he and his side buddies could make this comment with a straight face.
Why can't American citizens fill the lifeguard position?
Most low paying jobs go begging, since white people won't take them and minorities would rather stay on the dole (Government assistance). No more physically fit white college kids taking lifeguard jobs over the Summer, but if I saw an obvious illegal on the lifeguard perch, I'd be looking for another beach.
All of the upscale beaches are private or semi private, and "swim at your own risk."
Because Americans are lazy
If their such good swimmers, I suggest they swim right back across the river and back to where the came from.
