Thanks for this. I bought one of these years ago and it ended up in a drawer for some reason or another. Just found it and your video was the first one that popped up. Super quick and to the point. Cheers mate!
Glad I could help! 👍
Thanks for that motion sequence, and all in that video.
Glad you liked it! 👍
3:00 for anybody that needs it, the mode that was triggered there was "Step Jump". It's kind of useless in the way it was programmed into the Sample and Sample 2, but essentially it lets you do a drumroll etc. You press the keys for the steps you want to play, and it will skip all the unselected ones. The problem is that when you release your fingers it will continue on from where it left off in the sequence instead of going back to the first step... The only real way to work around it is to manually set it back to the first step the second you take your fingers off the keys.
Perfect tutorial for a beginner like myself! Thanks for the help!
Glad it was helpful!
Right off the bat this is a life saver.
Glad it was useful!

You're welcome!
3:00 nYou just set it in step-jump mode, press step button without function button to get in stepmode
Darren you have a good way of teaching mate
That's very kind of you to say. Cheers!
Thank you for this - most helpful one yet.
You're welcome!
A tip : you can watch series at flixzone. I've been using it for watching lots of of movies these days.
@Jeffrey Turner definitely, have been using flixzone for months myself :)
@Jeffrey Turner Yea, have been watching on Flixzone for since november myself :D
thank u~
You're welcome 😊
Hey! Thank you for the video. please tell me how to vary the probability of playing samples. e.g. 60 or 70% of the total number of specified samples
The stock firmware doesn't have that functionality. Pajen's custom firmware has this feature, but it's not available for the Sample V2 yet
Yep.
Hi how long can a sample be (max time ? ) can you play samples without a loop as I want to use it also as a jingle machine ,will it save them ?
You might as well use a soundboard app on your phone or tablet.
I'm a complete novice here Darren with samplers and sequencers, so bear with me. What have you got this plugged into from the headphone socket? Could I connect to my hi-fi via a mixer for example. Great video by the way.
Yes, this was plugged in via what’s known as a. 3.5mm stereo Y cable to L & R phono… Like this one: amzn.to/3KnxuDB
Cheers Darren. Might give one a try. Keep up the good work. Love your videos.
are these sounds already set in this machine?
Yes!
Good tutorial, but how can I extend the sequence to 2 bars or more? It’s only a loop of 1 bar !!!
Beats me! 🤔
That's all you get, 1 bar...
I'm a geezer and have an un-technical mind.A bassist for 5 analog(plug it in and play,no programs) decades. You explain it nicely though. It's supposed to have 100 built-in samples. How does one review them if possible? Trying to have a bit of fun in my retirement.
You select one of the patches and then scroll trough the various samples tapping as you go. It's tedious, but tediously fun!

It's so easy I'm embarrassed.Starting to catch on a bit and having fun.I just ordered a Modular.Looks interesting,any thoughts?
Nah...bleeping ain’t music! 😂😂😂
basically is the same that the volca beats
No, it's better than the Volca Beat because you can change the sample voices so it is more flexible for the same price.
Similar workflow, but what did you expect, they are both volcas. But obviously they aren't exactly the same, one is an analog drum machine, one is a sample player. Plenty of other differences too
