Sameday 09 Also I was gonna say that too.....I feel like very few people remember that games existence, it's literally the only reason I recognised her voice in infinity train
What I like about Lake is, despite being originally Tulips reflection and sharing a similar appearance, she isnt just "Tulip again". Tulip is logical, thinks in numbers and such but Lake is very bold and emotional, usually just rushing in and being abrasive, and even when she learns to open up to Jesse, she still has that side to her. It helps push the idea that Lake is someone new, not just "Tulip" again, despite sharing the same voice.
I always keep over thinking that without MT becoming Tulips reflection, how is Tulip ever going to see what she looks like ever again? (I'm pretty sure that's not what the main subject of what we're talking about, but I just wanted to get it out)

@sarah m We see Jessee's harpoon pack fall back into the train when they tried to leave and Jesse originally got home. It seems any items on the train are intended to stay on the train, which is why Lake couldn't escape originally and had to trick the system/One-One into giving her 'permission' to escape.
As much as I enjoy the anthology aspect of Infinity Train, I would love to see a few episodes checking up on how Tulip, Lake, and Jesse are doing since exiting the train. I loved all their characters and I would love to see more of them.
Especially Lake and Jesse, it would be interesting to see how Lake now fits into the real world. Like does she wear make up but scares people because of her strength?
Imagine the final episode, the last passenger is narrating about learning lessons and during this it shows clips of all the protagonists and what they have been up to.
Especially when we're not even halfway through what the creator intended. Like, seriously the moment when it got cancelled was during a filler-ish book that was supposed to be a breather before we get to another intense book. The heck.

How do scientists react to inorganic lifeform that claims that she is a reflection and came from interdimensional train?
Keep in mind that Lake didn't actually get a number, she just reflected Jesse's number and One-One considered it valid. It likely will not for, say, Atticus. Lake also seems to be the first denizen to leave the train, as One-One originally wouldn't have let her off the train if not for Jesse because he knew she was a denizen meant to help Tulip & Jesse, not herself. Wait is the other thing The Last of Us or Minecraft Story Mode?
@@randomality77 minecraft story mode. i dont think there was even a character in the last of us with the name jesse, although i could be wrong about that
@raine6813 Haha, that’s what I thought. I’ve heard plenty of times that in TLOU Part 2 there’s a character named Jesse.
I love how Lake chooses her name because the lake reflects her, and no one else
yess i love this detail so much. lake is best girl.
Yeah I loved that
Caught this on my second watch of Season 2, but the number that Lake fails to get is 86. “Eighty-six, eighty-sixed, 86ed, or 86'd is American English slang for canceling something, killing someone, getting rid of something (by burying it), ejecting someone, or refusing service.”
Love all the little details in this wonderful show
I never caught that
Wow, as an Aussie I didn't know that, but that's such a cool detail!
I love the montage of when lake cuts their hair and peirces their ears. It gives me a really complicated feeling I can't explain.
Maybe...a feeling of validation?
Show's soooo criminally underrated
This was my favorite book by far. The best, for me at least. It was so full of hope and determination and the discovery of self worth and identity was something I needed at the time. Darker elements sprinkled in (but not quite as vivid as b3 which I like because I love b3 but it made me so damn sad). Lake's entire arc and her relationship with Jesse was so sympathetic. It'll always be my favorite book of the three.
Lets not forget when Jesse ask Lake if he can kiss a mirror
everybody talking about how good this is but is nobody gonna talk when m. t. [just for now(mirror tulip)] looks at the lake and nothing comes out of it means she is free forever
She.M.T. is a girl.

@@moiramcevoy4786
Their gender was never explicity stated, and was intented to be non-binary by being trans-coded. Just because she was reffered in the Book with she/her pronouns means they are a woman
@@kingdmind shes a girl just stop with the trans coded stuff
@@kkumari9 Lake never said they were a girl, and it was incredibly explicit from the beginning that Lake is meant to be trans, even by the creator Owen. Why does it bother you so much for Lake to be trans-coded?
Okay but can we take a minute to appreciate the beautiful and stunning backdrops in this show?
I just realized, in The Last of Us 2, there’s also a guy named Jesse.
Ashley Johnson who played Tulip and Lake also voiced and acted as Ellie from the game.

She also voiced petra from the minecraft story mode series, which the protagonist was also named jesse.

dundundun
Sameday 09 *She seems to know a lot of Jesse's*
But if its the exact opposite it feels like I'm the opposite because i want to be the exact opposite. Not I'm different because i am
I always keep over thinking that without MT becoming Tulips reflection, how is Tulip ever going to see what she looks like ever again? (I'm pretty sure that's not what the main subject of what we're talking about, but I just wanted to get it out)
@@jackbrennan2208 it's up for interpretation, i see it as a permenant reminder, the infinity train, the experiences she's gone through, the things she has done, the growth everything is real, ironically reflected through her lack of a reflection
@@Jin-lg9kw dumb it down a little bit?
@@jackbrennan2208 tulip not having a reflection to me shows me that her experience in the infinity train is real
YO a can we talk about how Lake has handcuffs on from when Mace caught her, and they show how she's a prisoner, but when she escapes the train, THE HANDCUFFS DISAPPEAR.
Technically a continuity error, but one filled with meaning and purpose
@sarah m We see Jessee's harpoon pack fall back into the train when they tried to leave and Jesse originally got home. It seems any items on the train are intended to stay on the train, which is why Lake couldn't escape originally and had to trick the system/One-One into giving her 'permission' to escape.
Jesse thought MT meant Mirror Tulip but I thought it was MT like “empty.” Lake suits them much better

Same I really like tulip Jesse and lake and maybe they should even make an actually episode checking on them
Especially Lake and Jesse, it would be interesting to see how Lake now fits into the real world. Like does she wear make up but scares people because of her strength?

If One-One can give a number to any denizen... Does it mean that he's a god? Can he create passengers, like Amelia did? How many denizens have left the train and how they survive in human world? How do scientists react to inorganic lifeform that claims that she is a reflection and came from interdimensional train?
Keep in mind that Lake didn't actually get a number, she just reflected Jesse's number and One-One considered it valid. It likely will not for, say, Atticus.
Lake also seems to be the first denizen to leave the train, as One-One originally wouldn't have let her off the train if not for Jesse because he knew she was a denizen meant to help Tulip & Jesse, not herself. Also note that Lake seems to be an abnormality as everyone else is very comfortable with their life on the train. Even the Cat, who just wanted to create her own paradise on the train rather than get off of it.
