That’s my dream bike ride someday. Got a 1973 Colnago and would really qualify into that ride👍

Hi their from Lester from USA. I got to ride in your road race back in 2001 lots of fun. I had a Holdsworth racer from 1947 to use. I got to meet some pros from the 50's and 60's to talk to very kool, I'll never forget the adventure. I'm working on a special restoration of a kustom made one off road racer built for a pro from England. It is a 1948 Holdsworth Cyclone road bike cream color with brown and gold double box pin strip work. It has taken me over 12 years to find all the correct parts brand new in the boxes to use. Just need to find a reamer for the fork tube to fit my cinelli stem into. And I'm ready to ride.

If I had the money I'd fly up for the next one. I have a 1982 Raleigh Royal, which would be a perfect bicycle for this ride. It has been customised, but all components used were available pre-1986, so it is quite legitimate. I use barcon/bar-end shifters though, as I hate reaching down for the down-tube shifters.

I'm still hold my uncle's road bike a Bridgestone RR2000, he rode it in a triathlon race and many others race event... Wherever he go the bike never left alone. I had change the tires, pedal and the saddle and I'm plan to re-paint it with the same color as original cuz of rust. First time i got this bike, i want to change it into fixie but the more i ride it more i love the way it is.
Plus this video make me stay in a road bike and old style.

This looks like amazing fun!! Better save my money, get in shape and put those Nitto RM-016 bars on my 1970 Raleigh Record. I'm sure I'll be the last one to roll/hobble in, but who cares!

This is a great video. I would like to do the L'Eroica someday. I happen to have two bicycles that would qualify. A 1985 Miyata 1000 Touring Bike and my 1966 Cinelli SC.

@desaraev6: actually we did make this! of all things we needed to hitchhike around the whole day when our car broke down! Turned out nice anyway, but we were very lucky!

My 1982 Raleigh Royal Touring bicycle would qualify. Except I insist on using bar-end shifters (old Suntour units).
