I started watching ur channel back in alpha 18 or 19 with the pillar base and electric wire traps. I’ve been waiting years for console and it was worth the wait! I spent the last 4 days playing after work and managed to build a base and a moat with a drawbridge currently on day 26 and thriving. Even got some buddies to try the game and so far all praises. Your videos have helped over the years with your dialogue explaining things really helps 👍 thanks!

Funny enough, me and my best friend are doing a base day one playthrough and are doing a similar base theory. I moved 4 forges underground into an "undercroft" to avoid screamers. I also got lucky with the trader selling a Chem station I was able to snag on day 13. Eventually I'll expand my underground area, but my above ground area I'm still tweaking and trying to figure out what I want to do

23:37 these stone brick pallets give an insane amount of stone. Always break them when you find them. A lot better than boulders.
Crazy to see this play through. Literally introduced me to survival genre watching the ps4 play through years ago and was hooked. 7dtd set a standard in survival games.

Feral seance means the zombies can tell where you are even if you hide that’s how they found your hiding spot.

I turn feral sense off because they should have to see or hear you to find you, not magically know exactly where you are at. I know it's a video game but it's unrealistic for anything to just magically know where you are at.
I like your style. The spikes are so the way to go. Whenever I see a base without them the person just wastes so much ammo and their base gets destroyed almost. I love taking an existing house for the first few moons while I build my permanent one and I just fix it up and place spikes along with a barricade upstairs with a hole to fire through that lets me aim at the chokepoint of the top of the stairs and side door. Feels like a legit war.
Super fun to watch you. I am really interested in the base design. It's been a while since I have seen anyone attempt underground since zombies got super digging finger nails. Thank you for the great content.

I see. Dog and zombies can respawn in poi’s. I was wondering if you place a block or spike in the zombies spawn spot will it stop that zombie from respawning? Gg on the new baby.

Make sure u build a Coble stone platform on top you base area I have a base a bedrock. The screamer dig down to where I was and broke into my base scare me half to death.
lol! all zombies will dig, you need some surface traps! put some spikes out ect, they'll wander right on top of the area and start to dig. make sure the spikes are above whatevers make a ton of noise

Definitely threw a curveball at me and my friend, but we've managed to figure out this new version, although, I play it with my M&K, so it's a bit hard to help my 2nd friend with the controls since I haven't played on controller on this version yet 😅

I set out to get all the crack-a-books located, we reached the wasteland and saw 3 of those things in and around the Crack-A-Cafe
But didn't stop me from getting on the roof, almost dying to a radiated boi and managed to fight and kill the hell hound looking dog

I have always done a underground factory, mid game at least.
Its really the best place to have a base, they cannot get to you in the underground bunkers
If you loot a zone and you get a job in same area you been it resets
I literally have a box base with a few spike traps around it , I'm on day 7 just need to boot up the game to do the blood moon , wish me luck ahaha 😅
Same I'm on day 14 though, lost my food box to the hordes, I just turned hordes off cuz I'm salty AF 😅😅

At night you normally on insane standing and waiting for morning to dont waste food and water . At nightmare is imposible to aim and fight with that speed run with zombies with joystick on console to have perfect precision to hit head.

I had a question about zombie spawns. Me and my brother have a base (a house) with a big cobblestone wall i put around the outside(all of which is within land claim bounds) and during horde night some zombies spawned inside the walls and almost killed us😂idk why they spawned
Hmm. you using multiple claims? the zombies do have a maximum range they can spwan from you on hordenight

@@Skippy0330 im using 1 claim but I increased the size to 70 blocks i think. But the walls themselves are only maybe 25x25 max. We were standing on the wall when they spawned in the base lol

What's the exakt rules for base one ? This looks very fun
Make a base somewhere for Night one, Stay in that base for non travel overnights and hordes. All production, storage ect stays there. (Later on little hideouts are allowed for long travel.)
The risk is having your stuff trashed on horde night, and having to deal with wandering hordes at night, and this time, much more screamer risk.
@@Skippy0330 Aha that's seems very challenging, but very funny. I know the screamers are crazy in this version 😂 but I love this new thing with the books and skills are different. Very very happy with the game soo far. New armors looking very good. Love how different the armor can play a role in a save if you survive or not

The zombies in this game are dumb dumb. Easy to survive even on nightmare. Just run Covid-19 distance away and crouch for .01 seconds and any AI will lose interest in you. Day or night.
No challenge for me not like the old 7 days to die.
