We had similar experience of death near Khardung La, when our vehicle didn't start due to extreme cold. We stayed for 6 hours at 18000 ft+ altitude.
I served in these areas for 4 years. Believe me altitude sickness can kill you within hours. Stay safe.

Your skills of entire shoot as well the drone shoot was excellent..we viewers were lucky to experience the drone shoot. The altitude sickness is very much felt above 11,000 ft. Empty stomach also adds too one's illness. Your confidence in being alone in such terrain is unique adventure.

Just a suggestion - Whenever anyone visit Ladakh make sure to visit Leh first rest for 48 hours to get acclimated then move to high altitude areas. Never go to high altitude areas directly from Manali. Don't do rigorous tasks as well. AHS caused many deaths in this area.
Altitude sickness is a weird phenomena. And the cold does not help. One might think one is acclimatized, but it can strike.
I had a life threatening heart attack 11 years with some heart damage, all good since then. 2 years back I planned Lake Titicaca in Peru kayaking --13,800 ft. My Doc said, watch it, if any signs return to lower altitude immediately.
I had acclimatized, in Cusco for 2 days, crossed a 14,300 ft pass with absolutely no effects , but in Titicaca, the sickness struck. I took a taxi back overnight and the hotel sent an oxygen cylinder along with me, just in case as we had to cross that 14,300ft pass.
It is said apart from the regular meds the supplement Ginkgo Biloba regime before tackling high altitudes helps.

Now I'm confused, I wanted thar to travel but your comment scared me. It's okay to travel like this who have a health issues? I know higher altitude have a oxygen issue so any place which can be adventurous and amazing? But for that you don't need to buy thar you can go from any 2WD or hatchback car. So not higher altitude but adventurous places you know?
@@shubham_M7777 What kind of adventures? There are many lower altitude places, jungle treks, sea kayaking, depends on your interest and always keeping in mind ones health.
My next adventure..... kayaking the Na Pali Coast in Hawaii--- 17 miles ( 27Kms) in May or so this year , then in June .driving 4000 kms to the Arctic on the Dempster Higway..Google it.
Life is for adventure, you have nothing to lose, except maybe your life! Be aware of the risks but don't become arrogant or paranoid.Respect the elements and decide and act accordingly. Nature is not here to take revenge.

You must keep a small potable medical oxygen cylinder for high altitude, but you are next-level smart, so what to say you will not take advice. You will have hypothermia; be careful. The vehicle also needs a turbocharger or needs to start off and on.

Hello Dipanshu, wear more warm cloths, wear woolen headgear. Itni sardi main your body needs more warm cloths which can maintain a good warm temperature to the body.
Use camphor in these situations. It helped me at Gurudongmar Lake, North Sikkim.
Try to remain calm, do not talk too much.
