- Senator Jacqui Lambie has moved a motion in the Senate to condemn the vandalism of the memorial sites by pro-Palestinian protesters near the Australian War Memorial.
Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says the Greens indicated they were against the motion.
“We’re on Fatima Payman watch at the moment because we’re going to see a series of motions testing out whether she abstains, whether she crosses the floor; this is the first,” he said.

Interesting that when a Green's senator had protests against him outside his office and home he called it bullying, outlining the effect on himself and his family. He did not recognise it as Australians voicing their opinion against covid actions, restrictions, pain and suffering caused by mandates in Vic that went against the Australian Constitution. He was targeted because of his allegiance and support for the then Vic Premier when the Premier did not have the support of his own party on a point he needed to be seconded on.
A protest or rally without violence is not a crime. Vandalism and destruction of public or private property is a crime. When vandalism is against the Australian military who have died isn't this also a disrespectful form of bullying causing suffering for the families of the deceased and present day military. The Greens have no consistency and gain public attention by using sensationalism to attract attention and support to push their agendas. The Greens are not constructive in working towards improving the lives of Australians. Their anti this, anti that stance is a waste of time and money.

A war memorial is as political as a tomb stone. The whole point of them is for family and communities to commemorate those who sacrificed and are buried elsewhere, often thousands of kilometers from Australia, and families and communities might not be able to go to a graveside. What the Greens have effectively stated is that the tombs of Australian servicemen and women can be desecrated for political purposes. That is the lowest, most filthy, depraved position ever to be presented in a chamber of parliament in any civilized nation!
