- Ratmir Kholmov finds a phenomenal piece sacrifice, that gained him a brilliancy prize. After the opening it seemed that his opponent David Bronstein was ready to grab the initiative, as Kholmov's pieces were seemingly passive. However, Kholmov unexpectedly sacrificed a piece, after which the great hidden potential of his seemingly passive pieces came to light.

Great channel, deserves mich more subs! Thanks for the upload! 👍🙂
My pleasure. Thanks for watching!
I love this analysis. These older games seem much more informative for me, much more relevant to how I play. I love your analysis, and 15 minute videos are just perfect. Great work!
Wow! Fantastic! Thank you for posting, and for your great analysis.
My pleasure. Thanks for watching.
What a game also a nice conversion at the end when it seemed shaky with black's piece close to white's king. Beautiful game!
Just Wow! Thanks for uploading this game.
My pleasure.
This is truly a remarkable display of attacking prowess!
Very nice vide. Wish you good luck with your youtube channel.
Thank you very much.
I learnt alot from uuuuuuu😘😘😘😘
Tremenda obra de arte.gracias y Saludos.
Beautiful attack indeed
After KR3Q _(Rg3-d3)_at 14:42, the position was mature for Black to resign.
Kholmov was such a good player, you can tell not only out of this game but also because Bronstein was a top player that could have taken the Champion title from Botvinnik in 1951 shouldn't have he undergone a sentimental issue that discouraged him very badly.
Very good.
First one to view this Video! 🙂
an incredible accomplishment

Ze queen, ze king, ze pawn
😂😂😂 same comment .. even in arabic we have same situation with the egyptins they pronounce a lot of letter (ze) like he did .. ze queen ze king 😂😂
What a game
Kholmov also played the move Nc6 in the USSR Champ 1959 against Keres.
Thanks for mentioning this game, indeed the same brilliant move. This game is also on my list, will make a video soon.
And why not R3Q _(Rd3)_ instead of P5K _(e5)_ at 7:21 now that the Knight doesn't control that square?
In this case Black captures on c3, and if Rh3, Black plays Bg5+, followed by f6 defending h7. White won't have sufficient resources to continue the attack, while Black will be up a piece. Thus it was necessary to play e5, in order to ensure the e4 square for the knight and open the diagonal for the bishop.
Very famous game.
at 8:44 why not Qf6 instead Bf6...then after white goes back with his queen...back to Qe7 and f5 black pawn and black defense should hold until all pieces arrive for the defense.
The queen must protect the rook, so if Qxf6 white plays Qxf8 with checkmate.
@@chesswisdom holy crap didnt paid attention :))))))
Must see if computer sees all this.
You did it ?
