yesterday my great aunt(grandma's sister) passed away she was also like a second grandmother to me. I also discovered this song yesterday, and even though she would have never listened to this kind of music in her life (she was 85) I feel like her message to me from the afterlife is not to worry about life because "it's a grand illusion". so I listened to this song 100s of times yesterday.

Seems like you get it, but is not just about material possessions, but more about the things we possess or hold on to psychologically that is detrimental to our physical and mental health. There are things worth holding on to and other things that we should let go or give up, as the Bible speaks of symbolically. I am not religious but do have faith in righteousness and my higher power and as you said, positivity. It sure beats negativity. Carry on, and don't look back.
