Cool. I was thinking the scale of chords were not really for lines but you did do an episode with minor lines using it. Thats great cause some nice lines would be good on this.

Love this! Cool idea and really like your laid back enthusiasm and delivery. Makes you want to sit up and listen! Complex ideas nicely presented. Can you (or anyone) point me towards a sheet of M6 / M7-5 voicings please?

Use lower case ms for minor but I know what you meant. I dont know any sheets if you know how to get minor seven voicings then just lower the 7 to the 6 and for minor 7 b5 lower the 5th half step. If you dont know minor 7 voicings then take for example a C chord at the 3rd fret on the a string its 3 5 5 5 (cgce) e is 3rd. lower it half step for minor then lower the second C down a whole step for a b7 or one more half step for the 6. Then use your ear to move the same intervals around to the low 4 strings and the high 4 and you got it. (in example Cm7 from bass, 5th, then minor 3rd, then 4th) also the G is the 5th when you flatten it along with the b7 as well you then have the minor 7b5. Also if you get all 4 inversions you will move up or down with the chord tones so if you are on C minor 7 as in example the next inversion with be starting on the b3rd or the next lower will start on the b7 the rest of the notes in the chord will also move up or down in chord tones so the G the 5th will be going to the b7 if up or if going down it will be the b3 ETC same principle for the other two chord tones you started with on example.....
      Remember what Chris mentioned too
Barry will teach the minor 7 chords are exactly the same as major 6 just as the minor 6s are exactly the same as the minor 7b5s

Beautiful episode, brother. Such a nice way to explore the minor 6 diminished scale

ii is just the V .... or the 4 major six for ii m7 ... 4 sharp eleven for ii min 6.... I guess thats how you can play a 4 chord on a five and it sounds good. Of course not really BH thinking

OK ... ok thanks Chris... On the way to working out lines for these, thinking what could be done. Instead of scale up and down for two bars, I thought try from an octave below and do two octaves... Seems you can almost do instead of the Bb7 to the 3rd of C7 you could do Db to the 5th of C7 but sounds a little funny....Now I have to see about what would go to the 7th of the G7 ... ok its the E7 that one not odd as landing on the 5th
