@@Elite_Wixy yeah if you want to fall every time you stop. You can get lowering kit but your probably better off getting a kx 110 they will keep up with a 250 if you want to.

Got a 24 kx250 as my first full size bike. Had a ton of power is is actually pretty good in the woods and in semi techy rocks, the gearing is definitely not for the riding I do but over all I love it.
I didn't know you rode at cowbranch. I like that track it is really fun. Sadly every time we ride there is poors and rains on us but it still is a fun track in the rain.
Cow Branch is a great track and the owner is such a nice guy. I highly recommend you try it out. About the bikes... I'm def faster and comfier on the Yamaha you're right. I appreciate you watching the vids dude!
@@DerekHallman hell yeah dude! been watching since your rmz days! Ironically I now have a rmz lol. Theres a bit more done to it than yours but still love the videos man. Also seeing a lot of my local tracks is so cool
The 23 suspension is very stiff.. I softened it and slowed it down to and just not enough for me. Also I’m very light and wasn’t getting very deep into the stroke. Got the suspension done and oh man a completely different bike
I’ve been in the market for a 250f for a while now but I’m so torn on what I want Looking at either the Kawi, Yamaha or even maybe KTM If you had to keep only one of the bikes which would you keep? Your Yamaha or the Kawi?
I have a Yami, Kawi and KTM (although the ktm is a 150sx) and if I could only keep one it would definitely be the Yamaha. I feel the most in control, confident, and aggressive on the YZ. I can make an more in depth review of that one too if you want 🤘🏻
I have a 2013 KX250F, it’s the love of my life, I only have the white coupler and black coupler, I heard that leaving it unplugged will default to the green one, at least someone said that about the 2021, if it’s the same on the 2013 then green feels way slower than the other 2, the black one feels most aggressive to me
The black one is the smoothest and least aggressive, the green is the 'standard' mapping, and the white one is the most aggressive hit mapping. The white one is good for deep soil but I prefer the green one overall.
@@DerekHallman oh yea okay, thanks for that. I’ve only got maybe 40 odd hours on my KX since we got it last September, I haven’t done any actual track riding yet but hoping to at somepoint, just mainly some trails, gravel roads, and a small track we have on a block. Anyway great vid bro, you’re getting real good with your riding, keep up the good content and stay safe
Feathering the clutch means pulling the clutch in enough to disengage it while simultaneously revving the throttle to bring the engine rpms up without fully spinning the wheel. It keeps the rpms high so you don't need to shift down a gear for a corner.
Hey I’m 31 yrs old and never rode a dirt bike much more then 10 minutes before , I’m currently looking for one to learn . Would you recommend a 250 2 stroke or 4 stroke as a learner bike . I’m about 5’9 190 lbs . Thnx
Dude I need me a new bike my 04 isn’t cuting it I need me a 250rx cuz I ride trails more than tracks but loven the content keep it up dog but be safe doing it.
@DerekHallman saw a KX250F for sale on Facebook and the engine looked extremely similar to the YZ250Fs, the KX250F was an 08 and the YZ250Fs I've been seeing for sale are between 01-08, just curious if Kawasaki and Yamaha maybe shared an engine at one point that or the heads are similar in design
@@Vazerin kawasaki and suzuki shared basically everything around 05. The two bikes were pretty much identical. I don't think the yamaha was similar back then either. My KX is a 2021 and my YZ is a 2022. Nowadays they are drastically different. The engine on the Yamaha is even backwards in the frame compared to every other brand. Instead of the air filter being behind you under the seat, the intake is in front of you on top of the bike, the spot where other brands have gas caps.
@DerekHallman huh, that is weird, yeah I don't know a whole lot about dirtbikes but a little about quads since i had 4, a TRX250X, TRX400EX, YFZ450R, and Pred 500, been looking to buy a used 4 stroke dirtbike and saw a KX250F for sale so I watched your vid to see how well it is
I cant see why someone pics the Kawasaki other than it looks cool... Its set up for a pro but a pro blows that up within 6 months.... So the pro goes straight to KTM or Yamaha for a decent lasting machine.
I have a 21 KX250 and i find that it just pulls forever, its also more confident and comfortable when its ridden high up in the rev range
Yup it's a sweet bike! I gotta rev it up more

In my opinion, Kawi make some of the best 4 strokes, I used to own a 16 KX250F, thing started first kick every time
Have the same one also 16’ but I feel like my rmz250 14’ has a lot more grunt and corners way better

How u like it compared to your yammy? Ive only ever ridden yammy and honda
