Erik is a classic balladeer... He's a league of his own. He's always emotional when he's singing. Amazing guy. I grew up listening to his singing. Pop Prince, that's how they call him if I'm not mistaken.

His journey to the top wasn't easy, but he overcame

I watched him live a couple of songs in a super harsh environment yet his voice never faltered. He is such a great singer! Imagine how I felt watching, almost melted in front of the stage because of his performance!!!

In 2010 at Carewell Community, Philippines in Makati City, Eric Santos brought happiness to about 25 people who did not have much remaining time to live due to cancer. My first wife was one of them. He also performed, without any fee as usual, in a fund raising modelling-dinner night in which my wife was one of the models. He is a loving and caring person.
There were many great Filipino balladeers in the 80s. Then 90s boy bands came. In the early 2000s it’s such refreshing to be serenaded with ballads again with Eric Santos marvelous voice.

He's been in the industry for a very long time now. He's the winner of a talent show. He was not even expected to win the show 'coz he's just a wildcard but he transformed into a star during the grand finals night where everyone was surprised with his performance.
Yah some people even questioned why he won just because the1st runner up had a better performance than him during the competition but he nailed the final night he transformed into monster while belting this is the moment.

May I suggest another artist, John Saga who happens to have a rendition of this song too. He is like the Sam Smith of the Philippines. When you hear him sing this song, it's like hearing Sam Smith singing an Adele song. I’m a Filipino and normally listen to rock and alternative music in my youth. But I do appreciate good music coming from other genres. I’m in may early 30s and I don’t know if I just notice now or I’ve forgotten, however, I can really see the subtle differences in style change between 2000-2010 to 2010-2020 opm. Changes in the 90’s or earlier is much easier to spot for me.
