Please react to Dafina Zeqiri-duro It is an albanian song that talks about people that are going through a tough time physically and mentally The title means endure and the singer gives a great message that you are not alone and we will get through it together, that she’ll be there for them . In the end she gives a phone number for people who are going through depression
After hearing Martin and Gary during their time it's hard to appreciate the next generation of male singers doing the same genre that these two were doing. They set a high standard. I used to save my lunch money just to watch their concerts.
So true. There's a reason why they say 80s to 90s era were the golden eras for opm and its because of the gifted artists of that time. The popular and awarded artists today like Mori, Sarah and Moira for the younger gen (I'll mention Charice coz she's a personal fave), they are talented but they still fade in comparison to the artistry of Regine, Martin, Gary V, Jaya and Lani.
OPM is great and lives on because of great musical talents of these two legendary Filipino artists. Salute and much respect to both Gary Valenciano and Martin Nievera. Truly extraordinary contributors to OPM's success!
Indeed! Even Gary admitted before that he couldn't even be at par with Martin's wits to carry a talk show. (not the exact words he said bec. I heard it a long time ago, but you know what I mean 😜)

It’s beyond belief that you reacted to this, never expected this. I’m so glad that you did. I have seen the As 1 concert in LA a very while back. This is the best concert I have seen. Both are funny and excellent singers, the best of what they do. Both icons on Philippine music. Thank you for reacting to them.
And Efra calls himself a dummy? Those "few" brain cells work wonders .... And Waleska ... Waleska ... so beautiful ... to the eyes, to the ears ... to the mind ... and now, to the heart .... Kudos to "Father" and "Mother" ... God bless you all ...
I’m just so happy that you found one of the greatest Filipino singers of all time, Martin Nievera. He is the Balladeer Extraordinaire and the Phiippines’ one and only Concert King!
Gary V will always have a special segment of his concert that would include a medley of worship songs. I've been to quite a few, he would do that bec he believes no matter what you religion you have, God speaks to you the same way, especially if youre going through a difficult time in your life, it lets you connect with him. I've also noticed that on his live performances especially when he's dancing Gary's voice is on point regardless of exhaustion, but when the worship segment come, there's a bit of cracking, it seemed he's holding he's tears trying to concentrate because he knows he's a vessel of worship and comfort to those who needs it the most.
I was fortunate enough to watch this live. My first time to see martin perform live and i was just so blown away. He does live up to his title of “Concert King”. Martin is a beast on stage.
This happened when Martin's life is in disarray bec of his relationships, he hit rock bottom & his career suffered. Gary is a very compassionate friend and that time was on his good prime, career wise. There was a time when Gary felt inferior to Martin, vocal wise he admits. But Gary's dancing & personality is what hits the crowd. These two are a gem to behold.
If i'm not wrong, Martin was already a superstar when Gary V joined the industry.they were each others' fiercest rivals since then.they're both excellent singers, songwriters, and were releasing hit songs after hit songs during their prime.some would say that Gary V had an upperhand because of his upbeat/danceable songs which appeal to the younger audience.for me, both are icons.
Imho, it's not just bec. Gary's songs are more upbeat/danceable, but he just has a wider variety of musical genres to offer than Martin. Also, since Filipinos are generally religious, & Gary has always been very vocal about his faith (releasing christian contemporary music albums every now & then), he is able to tap a following, that isn't bound to a specific generation, beyond secular music. I, for one, know & have purchased/consumed more of his spiritual songs than his popular dance songs or hit love songs. ☺
Martin has the upperhand vocally for me coz he is like the Regine of the Philippines among the male singers. However, Gary is the total performer of this country. He sings with more soul, he composed more songs than Martin and he dances like Michael Jackson and he acts great! He already proved himself especially in MMK! These men are legends! They're different in many ways! North and South Poles, positive and negative, black and white... That is why they compliment each other in concerts, on the ASAP stage and as best friends. The reason why they are legends and have been around for 3 decades about to go 4 in a couple of years (I believe won't be that long enough). 😊
They are the best in their own way and influenced so many singers far and wide in the country. And the best thing is that despite the competitions and comparisons they are friends that respect and love each other off and on cam.
After listening and seeing the new generation of Filipino artists, it is really nice for you to react and expose the world to those that have influenced the Philippines musical artistry. Just as you have mentioned in one of your reactions, singing is one way to show extreme emotion that when Gary and Martin sing, they sing from the heart so what you just experienced is their hearts and souls fully exposed. The living legends of Filipino music. I have listened and still listening and sanging their songs forever. Thanks for the reaction and you guys are right in saying they influenced big time the Filipino music. God Bless...
Filipinos are so drawn and fond of female belts (due to the great influence of the Philippines divas especially Regine) forgetting the male powerhouses in our music industry. The two Philippine music icons right there are just part of the big sample of great male OPM vocalists. As well, I would like to say how I love your channel. You are the only reactors who really digged deeper in learning our music culture.❤
@@patzzyn77 yes it matters. Because if you give statements like that base on your assumptions, then your just making a story. Unless God personally told you that singing together is 3x more powerful. Did he appeared in your dreams and told you that?
It seems to me that Efra is a master in expounding philosophical ideas (life itself in general) while Wale is a master in musical technicalities. She's very pretty today. Not that she was not before -- I just love simplicity. I notice she loves expressing herself artistically thru her make up. I like these siblings a lot. I can listen to them talk for hours without getting bored.
Agreed. While Wale has a way with music, Efra has an amazing way with words. They fill each others' cups, which leaves us all full after listening to their podcasts.
I agree. The 1st time i heard them react on songs done by Filipino singers, i am hooked. The both of them seem to give some literary context not only on the songs, but the singers as well. These are intelligence & brilliance personified..
Wow, that Martin's line in a fading tune, "You won't give me what I can't bear," struck my spirit and opened the tear ducts of my eyes involuntarily. Worship the Lord. 🙏☝️
This is one of my all time favorite songs. And two of my all time favorite singers in the world singing it. These two Filipino singers are the two Royals in the Philippines. This video is golden
I can’t remember how many times I listened to this performance and I really can’t help but cry. I'm sure almost everyone who witnessed this performance was also in tears while listening. Thanks for this reaction. God Bless ....
It's so deep! Comprehending is far greater than the enjoyment ot watching because spirituality is being nurtured by this kind of a piece of performance. One of the reasons why the musicality of Filipinos is so remarkable and has strong impact is the fact that Filipinos' faith and their spirituality in general are deeply rooted to The One Creator who is The Source Of their Talent, when they sing they are instantly connected to "The Source" because they acknowledge The Source they entrust every performance. This is the reason why most of the reactors of Filipino Singing Contents are able to notice and feel the very emotion of every performing artist, really hearfelt. I can say it boils down to one thing that Filipino Race in general is Musically Gifted. And that Gift that Filipinos are blessed with gives back Glory to The Source and glory to our Mother Land when countless victories had already won from various competitions worldwide. TO GOD ALL BE THE GLORY!
@14:40 Somehow the lyrics made a huge impact on Martin and made him reflect about his struggles. @15:25 He almost cracked and cried midway. Who wouldn't? Imagine Mr Gary V patting your back and reminding you like a big brother..."but then He reminds us all the time buddy". Gary's words pierces right through the heart of even the hardest man.
Proud to say that I was able to witness both the Philippines’ concert king Martin Nievera and concert queen Pops Fernandez. They were the first concert I was able to watch during my teens and I thought that all concerts are the same but to my dismay, it’s not. The reason y they’re called the Philippines’ concert king and queen. It’s phenomenal. Martin is superb!!!! He’s a must watch.
Now that i think about it. Growing up having them all the time on tv every weekend ive never really appreciated them as i do now thanks for making me realize that. After being here for a long time ive never been too eager to hear daddy herrera with his insight on this video.
So beautiful, both of them brought me to tears...every time I hear “take me out of the dark”...it strikes straight to my soul. God bless them both🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
This pinoy singers artist is what grew up watching when i was kid. I know their elites during their time but now i just realize they are music geniuses. Damn epic performance.
They’re the living legends here in the Ph...Gary is known to be as Mr. Pure Energy whilst Martin on the other side is known as the Concert King along with his ex-wife as the Concert Queen. Thank you 😊
You are both legit in every aspect of life and music... expressing your reaction to people is not a very easy thing to do.. almost like giving your everything ... but sharing your thoughts to others is one of the best purpose in life.. not also we learned from it but it molded us for a better change and to able to help and touch one’s life as well...a second is only what we need , not years to do it .... I’m inspired and touched...
A Sir Martin or Sir Gary podcast would be one for the books. They both are fun and joyful to watch and talk with, but they transform into a beast when it's time for singing. It is not just singing for them, it's telling their story, not just any story. They are and will remain legends. Hoping that you could make them appear in your podcast. Your insights and their knowledge in one podcast will be heaven on earth. Thank you Waleska and Efra.
I cried a bucket ❤️🙏. I was touched tO the bones. These two are both phenomenal then and now and forever. I heard these songs a gazillion times but this by far is the most moving rendition ❤️❤️ Epic!!
Hi Waleska, the thing you probably can’t visibly make out is God’s anointing radiating through Gary and Martin. They can be talented but without God’s anointing, they’ll just be singing lyrics. I remember Kuh Ledesma (one of Philippines’ most prominent singers) was asked in an interview, what is something that you don’t want to lose and she said “God’s anointing” for without it, she’ll just be singing mere words and I think that’s just powerful
Pinoy artists when they sing and perform do not just sing ,they could go beyond the song. And you can feel it musicians ,performers and the viewer's connect. That is magical ..Your reactions are great
This brother & sister are well educated in terms of musicality and very articulate in delivering their opinion. Kindly try to get an interview with our legends like Regine, Martin, Gary , Jaya, & Lani on your podcast.
Context : These are 2 of the artists I frequently hear growing up in the 80s & having 2 brothers. But, most especially Gary Valenciano, and for his song TAKE ME OUT OF THE DARK. We have more often than not Catholic schools in the Philippines & part of catechism, and towards high-school, we go on religious retreats. A weekend away sponsored by the school, for religious instruction, contemplation, & meditation. That song, is more often than not, played at these retreats. Most especially when you write and exchange palanca or affirmation letter, with friends or your family members. Many of Gary V's songs are Praise & Charismatic songs. If you take a listen to his version of LEAD ME LORD - its a hard hit to your heart, when you have a very deep conversation with GOD in a retreat. Not to mention he matriculated from the same Catholic institution of De La Salle. He's one of our heroes. Gary's music just hits most Filipinos who have been to these activities, very deeply and emotionally. I tear up all the time. Because it means a lot and I have very touching memories of all the retreats I have been to. Thank you for loving our artists. It means a lot to have them seen more, by the world.
They are both ANOINTED and healing flows through their voices. Martin made me feel that part so much: “I feel like I’m not what you might call… a worthy Christian after all…” that heartbreak there was so tangible
Thanks for finding these two filipino icons.it's so heartwarming to hear how other artists appreciate great talents.awesome reaction and insights.👏👏👏👍👍
Gary and Martin way back were being pitted against one another. They were both famous in their own right. Contrasting styles. But they turned out to become the best of friends, even in their personal lives.
This is why I love watching your videos. You guys delved deeper to the music icons in the Philippines to better understand why new artists have strong foundation in their craft. Thank you! Loves and hugs to both of you! ❤️
Crying my eyes out hearing them singing my favorite songs. Sir Garry Valenciano and Sir Martin Nievera, no doubts, are legends to Philippine music industry. They do not just let you appreciate the art of music, they transcend emotion behind their music. I love them both. I am praying that they’ll still continue touching hearts thru their music for a long long time.❤️
I always love to watch your reactions... Its more than just reactions... your insights to the technicalities of the songs, to the lyrics, to the performance and to the artists themselves... I hope you can get Sir GaryV in your podcast someday....
Among all the videos that you reacted this is my ultimate favorite! I watched it 100times and I cried everytime. Thank you and I always love you both. This song makes you cry your heart out to God and let him lead the way.
And I am looking forward to seeing them in one concert but this time with Regine and THE Lea Salonga. It will be a worthy replacement to either Lani or Jaya.
So happy you watched this. ❤️ I’ll Be There - For You (Martin’s Song) was our elementary graduation song. I was bawling during the ceremony because of this song. So memorable. 💛
One of the greatest gospel songs I've ever learned singing.if you try singing that song you have to give your all because your singing to the creator.🙏💕
Most of the youtube reactors are into the new singers from the Philippines, only looking into who can hit high notes or give the best runs. It's nice to see a channel like this to react to the legends/veterans and to our bands, they are the pillars of OG OPM and then how Sarah G changed the scene for the new singers to challenge themselves and give us the modern OPM.
So I was watching today, Good Friday, and then found myself crying due to these songs...Anyway, they were "rivals" and yet, they built this great friendship. I've always loved their voices.
I grew up singing the songs of these 2 legends. I wanted so badly to watch this concert, but alas, I was deep in the trenches of training to be a doctor back then. These three songs hold very special places in my heart, apart from having sung them countless times in my youth. "I Will Be Here" is my love song to my wife. I sing "I'll Be There (for You)" to my daughter as lullaby (and by extension, to my wife, as well). And "Take Me Out of th Dark" - well, I sing it as you do, to ask for guidance, strength and courage, especially in these times. A song for my wife; a song for my child; a song for our Lord. Thank you, Sir Gary, Sir Martin, Waleska and Efra, thank you...
This is, i think, the 50th time i'm listening to these two wonderful singers on your reaction channel!!! Such a heart warming performance...gives me chills everytime❤
This is how music strengthens brotherhood. Their language is only music in tapping each other's shoulders. At that time, Martin's days were darker than his nights.. and he was really touched by the last song they were singing,.. then silently cried during their number.... Hugs for the two legends..
Thanks for this video reaction... the songs and your reaction made my day. It is really so important to have a relationship to God in Christ Jesus.... thanking God for bringing two artists together like Gary and Martin to write inspirational songs like these to uplift people's heart and feel the love of God. Thank you, too Waleska and Efra for reacting to this video.
Pinoys gonna love you more with this vid... The respect and proper timing of pauses and when to comment is impeccable. May you never get tired of finding new music that feeds your soul and curiosity rather than those that give more views... You're officially my go to channel to discover new music and videos. I legit cry while watching this. The sincerity that comes with their heavenly vocals pierce through my heart. They sure know how to relay the message of the song. Make me appreciate how music can heal us. Thanks for this ♥️
I remember this, were there at their concert, my mother and father crying a lot and i dont understand why, now watching this again, i understand now why they are crying. So much emotion... Thank you for reacting this video i learn something from the past 🥰🥰🥰🥰
The best songs and the best singers duet ever…very deep and emotional songs, trusting friendship meaning that makes your heart cry…a worship songs…the LEGEND
Am a big fan of Gary V since the start of his career. He's such an excellent singer, dancer, composer who can play various instruments. He was also a very good actor. He's a great total performer & so energetic that he maintains his fame until now. A very talented man who inspires me a lot! 🇵🇭 💖 🇵🇭
It seems to me that Efra is a master in expounding philosophical ideas (life itself in general) while Wale is a master in musical technicalities.
She's very pretty today. Not that she was not before -- I just
love simplicity.
Agreed 🙋🏻
100% agree...🔥
One of the best..!!!!! Best of the best
Kings of OPM (original Pinoy music)
This is one of my all time favorite songs. And two of my all time favorite singers in the world singing it.
These two Filipino singers are the two Royals in the Philippines.
This video is golden
Martin Nievera is been my favorite singer at all times...I've seen his concerts many times ..He is and always been worth watching live. Mucho Gracias!
Ahl-sings much appreciation and love for this.
Wow...these performance cant stop me crying😢😭 these is too much soooo emotional!!
God bless them both🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Legends are legends for a reason. What an incredible moment in time. Martin and Gary thank you!
This is one of the many reasons why I am proud being a Filipino :)
My first time to see waleska cry while reacting. Well, i teared up, too.
This was amazing . To live in the same lifetime as them.
I heard these songs a gazillion times but this by far is the most moving rendition ❤️❤️ Epic!!
this is the answer of why the new generation of singers in Philippines are one of the best if not the best. you unlocked the mystery.
This is my first time hearing this duet of theirs (and I've listened to them separately for decades already). Amazing harmonies!
Context :
These are 2 of the artists I frequently hear growing up in the 80s & having 2 brothers.
Hello there From the Philippines
I really love how u talk and how u praised filipinos. Very true from the heart
Thankyou
It's been so long since I heard Martin and this reminded me why I loved his singing... my fave male singer when I was a kid
And to think Martin and Gary had a two-night concert with Lani and Regine..
And I am looking forward to seeing them in one concert but this time with Regine and THE Lea Salonga. It will be a worthy replacement to either Lani or Jaya.
When efra stays silent for long, you know he is touched.
So happy you watched this. ❤️
I’ll Be There - For You (Martin’s Song) was our elementary graduation song. I was bawling during the ceremony because of this song. So memorable. 💛
This performance is so full of brotherly love
And they did all these spectacular vocalizations sitting down. If you know, you know.
They sing each others song! WOW! Martin is actually crying….ohhhh! and Gary V shed tears after the song!
I feel you Waleska.. I was crying while watching too. 🥲🥲🥲
This is, i think, the 50th time i'm listening to these two wonderful singers on your reaction channel!!! Such a heart warming performance...gives me chills everytime❤
Very timely for you to react to this on a good friday...yes I cried too...thank you...❤️🙏🇵🇭
This is how music strengthens brotherhood. Their language is only music in tapping each other's shoulders. At that time, Martin's days were darker than his nights.. and he was really touched by the last song they were singing,.. then silently cried during their number.... Hugs for the two legends..
This pandemic situation and you listen to that songs with that artists is really impeccable. Wow! My first time seeing Waleska cried. 🥺😌
More power and More subs!

I love both of you...i can feel the sencerity passion love of music..im a fan...you make me happy everyday...THANK GOD
Am a big fan of Gary V since the start of his career. He's such an excellent singer, dancer, composer who can play various instruments. He was also a very good actor. He's a great total performer & so energetic that he maintains his fame until now. A very talented man who inspires me a lot! I will forever admire & love Gary for also being a very nice beautiful person inside & out!💕💓😍
