- The USPS is currently hiring Custodial, Maintenance, and Sales for permanent position including federal benefits from day one!
CUSTODIAL: Starting salary $16.88 per hour paid bi-weekly
MAINTENANCE MECHANIC: Starting annual salary $46,682 paid bi-weekly
SALES SVCS/DISTRIBUTION: Starting salary: $22.15 per hour paid bi-weekly
BENEFIT INFORMATION: This is a career (permanent) position which offers excellent benefits. Newly hired employees are covered by the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS). Upon hire, employees are eligible to contribute into the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) which is similar to 401(k) plans. We also offer the option to enroll into the Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) program as well as the Federal Employees Group Life Insurance (FEGLI). Dental, Vision and Long-Term Care Insurance Programs as well as Flexible Spending Accounts to cover eligible out-of-pocket health care and dependent care (day care) expenses are also available. We offer extra pay when working on a federal holiday (10 per calendar year) as well as accrued vacation and sick leave.

Custodial is the golden goose spot for usps, only job in the service on the floor that has no involvement with the mail flow! There’s no priority sticker in trash! 😝

The custodian in our plant are not stressed out. The sups are not on them too.
Ours has it easy working m-f only 6am-2:30pm
Hi!! I'm custodial at my office and got in at age 28 yrs old and I'm 7 yrs with full benefits!! Got super lucky 8 months into the job got upgraded to PTR!! And now I'm full time last 2 yrs!! Best job ever!! I've been contributing to my TSP last 7 yrs!!

Well I shouldn’t say nothing. On my first night at my plant, I opened a sack from a BMC that was full of worms!! And custodian had to clean it all up!

I got hired in October as a MHA, took the 955 exam in December and now I’m a MM. I work less but get paid more 😂 it’s great.
I'm so happy to know you did not experience the craziness at the usps plant.

I just got lad off on Friday Jan 13th after starting on Nov 07th as an Mha. Waiting to test for laborer custodial on Wednesday. 💯✊🏾 Full time career position as well but say 8am-12pm

Hi if you can answer my question this would be great. In my description it says non scheduled day Wednesday, Thursday? Does this mean every other day Friday- Tuesday we have to work? Also hrs are from 06:30-1500 is this considered full time? I’m a little confused? 🤔
The only person who can answer that is your supervisor.

I got a 70.40 for the maintenance mechanic test. But no one called me or was not interviewed. What happened there 😢.
They will call the high scores first, then you will be next.

I just got an interview for custodial. It starts around 17 but do they have the same raises or ability to make money ??

Permanent workers have the same benefits and raise. You can join a union even you are new. I don't see custodial wearing uniforms. Custodial work is lighter. Congratulations!
I'm a custodial myself a d been doing it now 7 yrs in and got lucky 8 months into the job with full benefits and make a good salary and will be " capping out" in about 6 yrs or a little less
What does offer phase (EXT) usps mean? I got this message but have never been contacted after taking my assessment?
It means you got the job. Just wait to be contacted for an orientation date. Might take time but they will contact you
I keep seeing videos of the 916 exam for this position, is it the same or is the exam is easy hard ? How can I study for it I have the test next week.
The exam is more of a common sense.

Hi there, no you don't have to do it again but you have to inform them.

@@justinking5535 its a 50 min drive in traffic, 35 without traffic. 12 hrs of expense physical labor. Only 1 day off. I come home and crash till its time to return. No time to spend with family. My shift is 5p to 5a Now the good its a government job, every 2 hrs u get 20 min break, 45 min lunch,

I'm not sure how that works.
They get route 6 hour.but can do it in 3 hrs.

It's open to public. Our custodian is a single mom from Guatemala with no military background. She used to be a street vendor. Her English is minimal, she can't hold a conversation. We use hand gestures to communicate.

You need an ID to show proof of your identity but you won't need a DL.

Yes Moses. They will ask for your green card and they will count the number of months you stayed here in the USA. It should be 5 years by the time of your application.

pwede po bang mag online assessment po uli gamit ibang email? Kasi po nung first time ko po mag exam ang baba po ng score ko 82 lang… tapos 2 years bago po uli makapag exam uli… sayang po ang time… i iisip ko po tuloy na gumawa uli bagong account gamit ibang email para makapag test uli…
