    Kudos to the MotorTrend reviewers. Many people focus on dissing Jeep any chance they get, because that's the bandwagon thing to do. "It's just a Jeep" well... not sure if you've paid attention these modern Jeeps since FCA/Stellantis formed... They still hold true to the heritage and the rugged nature but genuinely offer such a good platform and are increasingly offering more luxury amenities. The 3.6 has proven reliable, the eco diesel is a excellent option. The turbo and hybrid are practical, and the 392 is ridiculous and that is awesome. It's still a Jeep and that's what we want. Options is the name of the game... You can get a base Wrangler with roll up windows and half doors, or now you can keep the wife happy with fine materials and and a mega sunroof basically. The new Bronco is incredible, but it's also making me realize Jeep raised the bar even without competition for the last few years.

    I just bought a Wrangler a couple months ago ( my 3rd) and I still love them especially the JL which has addressed a lot of the short comings. I absolutely would have shopped the Bronco as well but there’s no inventory and the prices are inflated. I’d say there’s at least a reasonable chance it’s as good if not better then a Wrangler but I didn’t think worth paying more for and waiting a lot longer. Maybe in 4 or 5 years when I’m in the market again I can revisit the Bronco but it’s a bit of a unicorn right now rendering a comparison pointless in ways

    I’m seeing a lot of salty bronco fans here. Honestly I like the Bronco even though I own an Wrangler. But I was really surprised when I did the ride along at the Chicago Auto show and the Ford people were making excuses for it already. The biggest one was “Jeep has an 80 year head start”. That’s not a good way to sell the Bronco. And not very confidence inspiring.

    • @MrNismopro
      @MrNismopro 2 роки тому

      I feel like Ford used those 80 years of experience to try to one up the Jeep. Honestly, out of the gate Ford may have edged out the Wrangler, but only because choice of factory tires and shocks. But, where the Jeep shines is that customizability and solid axles. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. IFS systems have hard limitations in the off road world. Try doing Big Bear pass in Telluride with IFS without bringing a second set of underwear. The solid axle platform is more planted. Ford wanted to please the on road community with off roadability. Jeep wanted to please the Off road community with on roadability. Personally, I own a Wrangler Rubicon Diesel because it fits my needs. Ford has yet to offer that.

      While that is true, I wouldn’t compare a telluride suspension system to the hoss ford system. I’m gonna post probably the most unbiased thing here after watching hours and hours and more research than ever on this topic, it is remotely the same. Bronco is a little better on highway due to independent front suspension, jeeps are a little more capable on MAJOR rock crawling, they are about the same on most off-road (not rock crawling) and with that said most people who buy these for the off-road sport and experience put major aftermarket into it. So with that said, it’s literally just what you prefer, but saying one is overall better than the other, not really possible at this point tbh

    Ok se we’re going to knock on the bronco saying that hopefully you don’t take them off after shopping but where are you going to put them for the wrangler if putting them in the car isn’t an option at any point. Oh no my rear door on a bronco doesn’t swing open carelessly it has a nice feature… let’s nock it for that too since we have a soft spot for the Jeep. Can y’all make an unbiased video? And this isn’t me defending the bronco, I’m a GM guy I just hate how the video is so one sided when even I as a chevy fan can see that ford actually did good and in many ways beats the Jeep

Same quality concerns stopped me from looking at the new Explorer when it came out. You can’t fix Ford’s structural quality problem at the flick of a switch.

    I love and own a Rubicon JLU, it's bad@ss, I love everything about it. I do like the Bronco too and it looks cool. The competition benefits both wrangler and bronco owners.
    The Wrangler isn't for everyone though, it's more off road oriented which is why I love it and even driving it daily its amazing and fun. The Bronco is going to be more comfortable and easier to drive, for someone who's not going to off road much, the Bronco is going to suit you more.
