So Shane Dorian's big wave riding career is also fabricated? He can't be labeled as big rider, or neither can Tom Curren be labeled as free surfer, only because they were competition machines back in the day? People change their focus and their goals throughout the years, you know?

Saw a lot of these videos with twin fin and single fin annual contests with local and former legends (namely Tom Curren and a Taylor Knox in the past) here at the Mentewais / Four Seasons. You can literally find these videos by doing a quick search on UA-cam. Was always wondering why STAB wouldn’t cover it but I guess logistically it’s a ton of money to stay at the Four Seasons there to get good coverage haga

Four season should sponsor a contest with all of them and bring Tom Carroll, Tom Current and the rest of the gang and let the younger guys be the judges

@@alexcrenshaw4634 Kelly is a thruster and quad especialist, he almost never surfed on singles throughout his career, there's many guys who mastered single fin surfing with a better approach, like Machado, Rasta, Torren Martyn, Joel Tudor etc

Single fins go faster, barrel ride better, and turn better, if you put in the correct bottom contours and the right rail shapes into them.
