APU Alternative Predator 2000 Portable Generator

I'm a truck driver with a non-working Auxiliary Power Unit (APU). With diesel prices being so high, I don't want to idle my truck all night in order to stay cool in the heat. Once I did the math I realized that I could save a significant amount of money by buying a portable generator from Harbor Freight Tools and a portable air conditioner.
My truck uses about a gallon an hour while idling. By using the Harbor Freight Predator 2000 portable generator instead of an APU I"m saving close to $40 per night or more by not idling my semi truck. I highly recommend this Predator 2000 because it works great and runs my portable air conditioner without any problems. I would recommend cleaning the spark arrester at the exhaust at least once every two weeks. I did go about 3 weeks without doing that when I first bought the predator 2000 and it kept tripping a circuit breaker because it couldn't breathe. Now that I clean that screen and the other piece at least every 2 weeks, I haven't had any problems.

It has been holding up great. Just make sure to clean the screen on the exhaust regularly and change the oil.
