thank you for making these tara i’ve been listening for years walking places, cleaning, doing work, and sleeping. genuinely this is my favorite podcast ever. every time there’s a new episode i get super excited :)💖
I noticed that I only find stories of false friendships in Japanese manga/games/creepy stories etc. Hating and trying to destroy a person is universal and hardly surprising but pretending that you are best friends while plotting against them seems far more rare. Maybe it has something to do with the culture which requires a person to do their best while concealing their emotions, so if they see you as an obstacle to their efforts, they take it very seriously and at the same time are skilled enough to deceive you by hiding their true feelings. (Also that "shame worse than guilt" stuff, like "if I don't look good and hold a position high enough, it's worse than if I commit something unethical to get that status".) But then again, they say that people in Japan are also required to be able to recognize hints and read the room to function in such society, so why do I never meet stories where a friend sees through that disguise...
Tara, youre so underrated. These stories are literally the best on youtube, I CANNOT understand why you dont already have a million subscribers. Buts seriously, thank you so much for making these videos, i dont know what id do without them!
Fukuro-san in it's very nature sounds like a recipe for disaster. Dead thing in a Shinto shrine designed to mass produce evil kami, and to add to that open for the public. I bet even if you could do it without removing the needles opening the bag would be an enormous no-no because it would disrespect the evil kami in the making. I have only basic knowledge, but I do wonder if something similar is actually practised in some Shinto shrines.
I literally just looked at my phone to see if there is something to listen to while doing a few chores and as I went to scroll your notification popped up making me, incidentally, press it. It's almost like you read my mind. Quit reading my mind Tara... get out of my head! Or don't, idrc.
In the tunnel story I was like, "Pfft. It's impossible to tell people what to do and EVERYBODY at that. At least one would outright disobey either out of defiance or out of curiousity." and then "Ah, the Mandella Effect, I see". About the last story, I didn't get it. The son was told to cut down the trees, leave and never to return. He did return and then the vegetation that grew were plants that bleed. Is there a lore behind this?
"An emotional reunion with his breakfast"
That is a great line. 😂

thanks a lot Tara❤
I think I hear another voice around here 33:16 or maybe I'm just listening too much horror stories😂😂
Damn that's attentive 😅
There's definitely a little background buzz around there, if it's a voice it might belong to a mosquito 😆
Now that I've listened to the story, I can go to sleep, good night
Thank Kami it's Friday
After doing some research into Shinto religion a lot of those ghost stories characters seem much stupider. But that's probably the point.
I would like a shrine
The moving photo story reminded me of a xxxHOLiC episode.😁
