_______________________________________________________________________________
Hello friends,
Welcome to our UA-cam channel Electronics for You. This channel is all about Electronics Engineering and its allied branches. We even upload some videos which are basically well known Engineering terms but people don't know much in details about them.
________________________________________________________________________________
About this video:
Note: if you dont have basic knowledge of network analysis please watch all videos in sequence as that of this playlist.
In this video, one problem of Y parameters is solved. Here this is solved by using mesh analysis and assuming supply voltage as 1V. In Y parameters one port is short circuited at a time. If you are not getting what is taught here please see video • Y- parameters | Short ... and mesh analysis numerical first.

It is simplest method that I have seen... thanks sir..
GOOD EXPLANATION SIR
THANK U SIR
Thank you sir really u explained in easy way 🙌
Nice one sir can you please help solve this?
(1) The source frequency in both tests was 500Hz. determine the Y parameters and draw the equivalent circuit at this frequency
Thank you soo muchh , really appreciate your hardwork !!!
Most welcome.
Wow.....😯
Really a nice video to understand Y parameters problem 👍👍
Thanks Priyanka ☺️
How did you write I1=1/4 directly I didn't understand
I have solved equations simultaneously.
thanku very much bro bcoz tomorrow is my exam & in reference book the problem is given wrong thanks a very much excellent explaination 👌👌
Best of luck.
When port 2 is short circuited opposite resistance 6ohm became 0. In that case when port 1 is short circuited opposite resistance 4 should become 0.
At port 1, 2 ohm resistance is in series with source hence 4 ohm resistance can not be short circuited.
@@ElectronicsforYoututorials thank you sir.
@@ElectronicsforYoututorials Kum samaj nahi aaya 🤔
@@ElectronicsforYoututorials please explain full 🤔
Thank you😊
Sir why 6ohm is also shorted here???
Its because in Y parameters we have to short circuit one port at a time. If you short circuit output port then definitely no current will flow through 6 ohm resistor. Here, "current always follows the less resistance path" rule is followed.
In short, we have not shorted 6 ohm resistor but have removed it bacause no current flows thrrough it.
Reply if you have any query.
thank you from unimap malaysia
Simply great content... Thanks sir
New and easy sir.. thank you so much
Thanks a lot
Wow! Simple mesh analysis can be used to find all parameters
sir how calculated the I3 I2...1st step 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
@@kirankumarh351 i3 is opposite to i2
It's superb, sir ek aur video banao please iss topic pe...
Please watch our video on same topic in Hindi, a different problem is solved there.
Thank you very much.👌
You are welcome
Fruitful and knowledgeable video..
Thanks Mangesh for appreciation 😍😍
sir how calculated the I3 I2...1st step 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Sir but with out given the voltage how can we assume V1 as 1volt
In math we assume several variables and many motr things... Similarly we can assume here also.
In network analysis, we assume direction of current similar concept can be used here to simplify.
This method simplifies the problem hence we assumed voltage source of 1v.
Thanks sir best way to learn y _parameter ....
Welcome
@@ElectronicsforYoututorials sir matrices form ni ala solve chestharvsir
Sir,I want to asking that it is possible for us to solve this problem without using mesh analysis? Because my lecturer didn't teach me using mesh analysis method and I worry they won't accept this method especially for our assignment and Exam.I really appreciate if you can make a video about this problem without using mesh analysis.
Sir if there are three loops in a circuit means there is an other resistor parallel to 6 ohm and he said to find y11 and y12 so how can we solved
If there is another 6 ohm parallel resistor to last then you can solve for parallel resistance combination.
But if you are asking about again one more loop then go for 3 loop kvl/mesh analysis and follow same procedure.
This video will help you.
Only problem is that, It is in Hindi/urdu. But i hope u wl get it.

thank you sir
Most welcome
hello sir, I have a doubt. When V1 = 0 why isnt the 4ohm resistor shorted?
Because 20 ohm reaiatance was in series. Hence 40 ohm was not actually shorted.
Sir how to solve Matrix calculation give the link sir in this particular problem 🙏 please sir
How did u calculate the value of i1 and i2 using mesh
I solved equations simultaneously. You can use engineering (scientific) calculator in equation mode for that or use matrix multiplication for solution.
It's not an easy problem if we do
Y did taken the direct values without solving them ?
I have explained in mesh analysis, KVL, equations in my previous problems (You can refer playlist). If you are learning Two port parameters, it is expected that student have prior understanding of all these terms or concepts. Hence I have not explained it otherwise it may take 5 more minutes.
Thanks...
Sir how u get the value of i1 i3 from that box u divide or multiply I'm confuse please reply

Plz watch this video 10 min onward. It can be solved by using calculator.
It is simple 3 linear equations. So can be solved by using equation mode in calculator.
How did we arrive at 17 over 48 after port one has been short circuited pls answer sir
We have solved simultaneous equations. You can use matrix method or any other known method to solve these 3 equations.
In second case
If u short circuit port 1 y is 2 ohms still there??
Resistance is shorted (hence removed) only when it is parallel to the wire in second case ot is in series.
please make video on z ,h,and ABCD parameter.
Z,h and abcd parameters are explained already. Z parameters problems are available in English and Hindi playlist. Soon H and abcd parameters problems will be uploaded.
Sir u took the values of v1=1 volt when V2 is short circuit and V2=1 volt when V1 is short circuit is this is possible for every sums in Y parameter haa sir ?
Yes, it is possible for all circuits for Y para.
Thank you soo much sir
If there is resistance with 6 ohm in series than how to soled it
Then 6 ohm and this series resistance should be added and solve in the same way that we have solved.
sir how calculated the I3 I2...1st step 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
The system of equations can be solved by two methods.
1. If engineering calculators are allowed then use equation mode of calci and solve.
2. If calci is not allowed then you can use matrix method for solution.
I think the direction you assumed initially in the port 2 is wrong please check once
Technically you are correct but its only assumption. Therefore, you can assume any direction of current. Only change will be polarity of current (may get negative).
When port 2 is short circuited why is 6 ohm resistor also short circuit
Because current always choses low resistance path. As short circuit has zero resistance whole current will pass through that branch and not through 6 ohm hence it will also short circuit.
Sir
Is it correct, V=1v assumptions.
Actually im not sure.
Yes, it is. You can surely go for this. Try to solve any example and cross verify that. Assuming v=1v simplify problems.
Sir
Thanks!
How u take directions
As per parameters, direction of current should be inside the network from both sides.
Why v1 taken as 1 volt
Like this how to find abcd,z,h,abcd parameter
Plz refer
ua-cam.com/video/Tz80exKKC2Y/v-deo.html
For Z-parametrs.
For H parameters use same technique keeping port short circuit n open circuit one by one.
Abcd parameter
For that you should open ckt port 2 first then find A n C after that short ckt port 2 and find B n D.

@@ElectronicsforYoututorials how do you get 1/4 and 1/8 values
Very good help me your email sir
Why did you assume 1v
The Y,Z or H parameters do not depend on applied voltage hence the action of input voltage can be neglected. You can assume any voltage for solution. this method is simplifying the problem.
Y sir u put i3 where is i2
I1 and I2 were mentioned in problem. The direction of I1 and assumed current was same but in case of I2 and assumed current the directions are different so instead of calling it I2, it is called I3.
Bhai kvl apply kar diya hota
Yes you can apply KVL as well as mesh analysis. 👌 I have chosen it because its easier than KVL.
I did not understand how did u get the 17/48
Me to
How we take V1=1???
Its a technique to simplify the problem, so we have assume it.
