Treasure Island is one of my favorites, and Free Parking too. Steve Wynn constructed it after the Mirage as a sister property. MGM never gave it any credit, but it's a great place. Mystere was my first Cirque show, it was good, to bad they are getting rid of Love at the Mirage ( I will always call it the Mirage even with that gaudy guitar they are building where the volcano is). Very good vibes at Treasure Island, had my first slots win there, before MGM took over and then sold it to Mr. Ruffin( thank god), and it gained new life. Great video as Always Jeff.
During the pandemic, I got a book at the library about the design of casinos. I wish I had remembered the name of the book. But it's interesting that casino players prefer low ceilings. I saw Treasure Island had several low ceiling areas. There's some interesting books out there about how casinos build their properties to try and get your money, in addition to what we take for granted, 'no windows, no clocks.'
To this day, casinos deny the clock thing but I've never seen one (I've never really looked, I have a watch, phone, etc). The window thing is a thing of the past, lots of newer casinos these days have windows and skylights to bring in natural light at the front of the building and casino floor, however as you go in deeper into the casino, that kinda goes away. Each casino is really unique when you think about it, especially with new ones coming along with their own touches. Did you know Steve Wynn would not allow any of those tall video slot machines onto the casino floor at the Wynn and Encore? He felt it cut off the sight-line of his beautiful hotel and casinos. Since he no longer has a hand in the operations, I've noticed these machines have been added. Thanks RIchard!
@@NuYawk Wow! Interesting! It's interesting that Steve Wynn wouldn't allow those tall slot machines at his properties! I've been very excited about a woman being CEO of the bank I bank at, Citibank; I bought stock et al. Recently, my CEO (yeah, her) has introduced 'Simplified Banking,' and I have free banking and the new, exciting, 'Simplified Banking' is sheets of paper with new fees. Up to now, my banking at Citibank has been free. When, oh, when? will she be replaced? Oh, she assures me I'm on a new relationship tier. Heaven help us; those CEO's (maybe Steve Wynn was a jerk, I don't know) but those CEO's who actually believe in something maybe sacrificing cash for the company for their steadfast "isn't life grand?! we're keeping things the same" is appreciated by some of us. Let me figure out simplified banking.
I know TI s Mystere, but I keep hearing KAA might close. Any truth to that, that you know of? Plus, I miss the pirate show. I know you said you haven’t seen a bad Cirque show, what did you think of O? I want to see it.
There are rumors about KA but Cirque says no...we'll see. I have yet gotten to see O at Bellagio, it's supposed to be a beautiful show with lots of water features. I really need to check it out! Thanks Dan!
I would say the only thing good about TI is that it is located near my favorite hotels Venetian/Palazzo, Wynn/Encore. Every time I come to the casino, there is a horrible smell in there and also you find very shady people hanging around the casino. I certainly would never stay there.
Underrated most definitely. this place rarely gets any attention outside of Vegas for some reason.
I agree Richard!

Yes Cirque's Love show is going away. That's a shame. It seems like such a good fit for Hard Rock! Thanks Luis!
Great video,
IF you had to pick TI or NYNY?
Cheers
NYNY is a better stay in my opinion. Thanks for watching and subscribing!

I never got to see the pirate ship show. I sure wish I did, but it was before my time.
Neither did I. But there are tons of videos right here on UA-cam! Thanks for watching JWD1992!
