Wellllll... narrative or not, I still enjoy seeing what you’re up to in the studio or with your own business. I did know of you because of Katnipp, but if you didn’t do anymore Katnipp related vlogs I would still be interested in what you’re doing and your advice for aspiring content creators!
I definitely took the narrative advice to heart though, and I’m editing this week’s studio vlog as we speak. 😁
awwww, I think you are doing great! I do understand the perfectionism issue though and I've even had to take some of Catherine's advice and sometimes just stop while I'm ahead. Not everything has to be perfect...that's why I feel that you do have a strong encouraging audience. Hearing your critiques and struggles helps me anyway to know that I am not alone and that I should just keep pushing through. Keep up the great work and keep the studio vlogs going! :-)
Nothing I can say will change ur mind about how u feel about the video. However, just an FYI some of us put UA-cam videos on just so we have background noise that isn't too distracting, and your voice is soothing. Many of us watch ur videos for your personality as well, you make us laugh. More importantly though is that you are relatable. Your channel isn't just about info, it's about relatable experinces. Like when you talk about what your going through perfectionism. I suffer from ocd and perfectionism is a massive time sucker I like hearing about other people's experiences that are similar. We like you and your channel not just because ur part of katnipp. So if you think it's a bad video it isn't. It's things I like listening to.
I don't think the video was bad, it just didn't hold up to what I wanted to deliver. But I do forget that sometimes people just want me to make them smile. I was to focus on that more 💚 what have I done that's made you smile
So the 'youknowwhat' situation has effed up the economy but also allowed people to explore having their own biz as freelancers, small biz owners etc. As they are just starting out and looking to sell on platforms such as etsy.
Can you tell us as someone who works for a thriving etsy business what's important when starting out such as do you need to nail the SEO, if so what should titles and descriptions look like, how should they go about finding the best hashtags or titles? Are there any chrome extensions ? What should they be investing it? Packaging? Thank you cards? Personalised cards etc?
Would love to know the whole process in a series of videos from your POV.
I like how you do the voiceover when you're packing, it's easier to concentrate on what you're saying. I think because a lot of content on youtube is jump cuts, fast-paced and we just need chill.

I agree with you, it's hard for me to post anything that is not my 100% because I worry it'll affect my brand but I need to realize that that's how one actually IMPROVES, by making mistakes and learning how to be better next time.
I want to start making studio vlogs of my art on youtube and I have learned so much from you! I just lack the confidence to put myself out there.

I just finished one of commissioning works that gave me a hard time so long and felt better now even it's not perfect... actually I don't like it much and it sucks. I am the queen of failure and wanting to get things perfectly right is one of my biggest pains. Ive learnt to tell myself to get something wrong, make it hard. To get it right make it easy. Doesnt always stop me from making thing complicated but i try.

Hi Mike, i feel sometimes you focus a lot on the "how to grow your own the bussiness", and helping creators , side of the vlog . But, how you say as well, a lot of us are coming from Katnip , watching because we enjoy studio/packing/ vlogs. I think reaching out always to creators is quite a niche audience and as you have noticed your views increased because of katnip fans. So, as this is what is hot right now lets say, you could make as interesting vlogs for fans as well, that dont want to become creators. Having a chunk of video, on a high speed, explaining day to day difficulties or wins that you go through with working in a studio. I like you narration, but sometimes it gets too much listening to the creator side of wanted to grow a bussiness. Maybe just diversifying the content a little. Hi again Elia, I'm sorry if I upset you. I focus heavily there because it means a lot to me, I'm relatively new to business in general, I'm just reinforcing a lot of insecurities that I faced. I try to keep my 'growth' discussions as generic as possible 😊 this is because so many of these lessons and things I share can be applied to everyday life too! But if that's not for you ill see if there's something I can do

And i truly hope it works, however i felt at times, diversifying a little the content could be of help, as to not get into being too repetitive. I feel you put a lot of pressure on yourself to push these messages out there for creators, which in time might just push away fans that are not creators. I did come from Katnip, but i stayed because i did enjoy your voice overs and the genuineness of your shares. So, i am grateful for that.
