lol girl they still don't want 4c hair. Just want the views
Thank you!, because a good amount of us fall into that 4c category but we're not well represented mainstream...so they know that we tend to look for and get exited for others with hair " like ours" so the minute we click and think, well that's not like mine, the've had the views already...
👏🏾Same thing with black fishing🕵🏾
@@TheMammad31 but atleast UA-cam started to look at watched time as well so you dont have to watch the entire video

Facts! They definitely don’t want 4c hair. Most people with 4c hair don’t even want it 😂

Child yes! that’s my head at the front it drives me nuts! 😂😂 I try and do a wash and go and got zigzags in the front and coils in the back!

hahahahaha same. Sis knows.
I cant lie , I hate when people say “You don’t have my hair, you can’t tell me what my hair type is!” and yeah that’s kinda true, but sometimes it’s pretty obvious that their texture AINT 4c
It's ALWAYS obvious when their hair in its natural state isn't 4c 😭 Like maybe it's 3c or something and dense.
Mhmmm !
exactly a girl could have the slightest curl and she will be like i have 4c hair
The Burdened Societies
Honestly same for the opposite too. I’ve seen so many girls claim to have 3b/3c and the hair is def type 4 ..
Agree my hair is curly but very thick my mother has 4c hair and bc my hair is the way it is she wouldn’t go natural said she wasn’t a wash and go girl like me but then my cousin who has her hair did and my mom did it smh hurt my feelings so bad. And long story short the whole time I was right. Whenever I pick hair products I’m always on point for her hair. When she pick them for me they always heavy as hell or too much oil lol 🤷🏽♀️😂oh well that’s my mother but that’s my ace! 😝😘
I think a big indicator is how much “weight” the hair has. Everyone with 4C hair knows that even if it’s wet, 4C hair will never submit to gravity like other hair types. If your curls are drooping down and bouncing around when you shake your head, you’re definitely not 4C lmao
Right
lol I got like a mix of all 3 types so im always getting confused 😭
It does start to move more freely when it's longer though
It does hang get when it gets longer
My head always be having mood swings 😔
*Everyone is 4C, until it’s time to be 4C*

When she said, “ sometimes the coils go ✋🏿👇🏽👉🏽👈🏽☝🏽🖖🏿 “ I DEEPLY FELT THAT
Is it me or is some people just mistaken their dry, damaged, strunken, kinky hair for 4c hair. I thought I was 4c but I recognize early on if I put some water, conditioner and oils in it, it would loosen up a little and i could see my curls popping. Some people just need to moisturize their hair while others, it does not matter how much moisture you put in it, they will not get defined curls. But because black hair is so diverse and beautiful regardless of the texture you might as well be greatful for it. You can do so much with it. Our hair is as diverse as we are. I see fair skinned blacks with 4c hair and very dark skinned black people with naturally loose waves. I love it. Because we are all different. We have similarities that connects us but our difference makes life interesting.
Krystal Smith, I love what you said! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾😊
Please read what I said on my comment (ODEAN LAWRENCE 1 day ago from today 20/07/2020)
Most definitely, one time I was was the grocery store with my mom who has 4c hair that is very well moisturized and taken care of, and another woman walked up to her and started complimenting her hair and said that my mom is lucky she got the "good type" of hair. Like girl, her hair is more coarse than yours, you just don't know how to take care of it.
@andy neither. If you identify when it's dry, you're being like those people who think their hair is 4c because in their hair's dry state it's dry (they equate 4c=dry). Don't be like that. Don't identify when it's wet because water can make your hair heavy (or possibly shrink). Don't identify with product in it either because depending on the product you use it might be weighing it down (and clumping can make it look loose too). You should try going straight into the shower, wash out all the product from your hair, and let your hair airdry. Sorry I didn't get to the point lol. I am going to try this today and I can back to you tomorrow

@@bandaqueenlove9134 I don't think people do it on purpose...
People wrongly using the 4c hashtags are the same mixed chicks using “dark skin” hashtags under their pictures to get promoted (yes I’ve seen it)...

magical unicornprincess7381 True, but I do not think OP was referencing to dark skin mixed people.

I’m not convinced people want 4C hair, they just profit off of it. 4C hair has the biggest market and viewers.

Trichelle Vargas not really , but go off .
@@trichellevargas2908 most as innnnnnnn??? Are we talking about america

Ppl assume that 4c hair is dry, unmanageable, frizzy hair.
My hair is dry lol! And it does take forever to actually dry when wet.
LinSooPretty Yeah bc it’s much thicker. It’s so difficult
Some ppl just stupid, all dry matted hair is unmanageable and frizzy ,no matter the type. All hair can be managed once we take our time to get to understand what it needs and what it doesn't. The ppl who assume that 4c hair is dry, don't have 4c hair nor lives with someone with 4c hair, cause trust, the process to getting to understand it may be long and hard for some, but those who are around someone who has 4c or someone who understand their 4c hair will know it is the most gorgeous of them all.
LeeAnn Hosein straighter hair tends to be oily naturally while 4c needs to be moisturized more often
jimjimjimmy there’s the same amount of oil the tightness of curls don’t allow the oil to move as freely as people with straight hair.
It’s upsetting when me a 4C girl searches for solutions to my hair and all i see are people who are not 4C drowning out the ones that actually are that can help us.
When I was younger I wanted to learn to take care of my hair (I grew up with my dad and brothers) and all I found was people with type 3 or 4a hair.... I followed the routines and it didn't help.
@@duckthedon4815 exactly. Because of so much misleading as a newly natural girl I wasted sooooo much money on product that did absolutely nothing for me & in more than a few cases it actually caused extreme dryness & even damage

Girl. My brothers, neighbors, friends, family, strangers used to make me feel so ugly because of my hair. My mother relaxed my hair at 10 because it was too difficult to manage. Used to envy the "nice" hair
I thought I had 4c hair for YEARS, like at least 6 years. Turns out I just didn't know how to moisturize it and I'm actually 3C/4A.
Same
And this is why typing our hair correctly is important lol
@Tomicaa Using products with alcohol that dried my hair out, only moisturizing 2 times a week, using light weight products instead of thicker creams and oils that make my curls pop.
Using heat often and not utilizing protective styling was definitely a factor too.
Lol I got bullied in school for having 4c hair. Everything is about trends

Yup it comes from a place of insecurity and wanting to feel like their hair texture is better, trust me as someone with 3c/4a hair when i was real young people made me feel like my hair was better than 4c hair which is FUCKED UP because i have completely grown from that childish way of thinking. As a person with 4c hair . Our hair don’t curl Perioddtttt Every single strand is a curl in its own. So our hair don’t bunch up and define or nothin . I’ve given up on twist out or braid outs . But I love my hair. Any day
People always says that but I feel like my 4C does curl?
I still do something like braid or twistouts but i usually put a curling product in my hair 😭😭😭 and it kind of does the job it takes a lot of effort to get to even stay a little curly kind of without it frizzing or shrinking back up😭😭😭😭😭
Nahh that’s your hair sis😕 I have 4C hair and I still have curls and can still do my twists and braid outs
Not everyone’s 4c is the same. I have 4c, but some defined kinks
Another thing I've noticed a lot about 4c hair tutorials is the gel-ing and crazy amount of product they use to get the slick down look or more curl definition... And constant use of extensions. I prefer to look at videos that show you different ways to style YOUR OWN HAIR!! No shade, just looking for content for me.

@@susanchime4581 I'm from South Africa and ever since people started learning about how to care for their hair, they've stopped relaxing and going natural. This 4c hair thing made me realise how 4c hair in America is seen as different to 4c hair in South Africa. Some American 4c UA-camrs would be considered 4a here. And also a lot of 4c natural hair UA-camrs are ignored and affected by texturism. It's interesting. The gent has really 4c hair though.
That’s actually the point here many American “4c UA-camrs” are NOT 4c and it’s frustrating when you’re actually 4c and looking for tutorials and all that pops up are these false advertisers.
I have like 4 different textures on my head! I just follow my porosity. That's all. If I were to hair type, I'll say I'm 5c sef😂😂
That’s actually really interesting. I’ve never heard of that. I wonder if it’s because Africa has a drier climate? If maybe we’d consider ourselves a diff hair type after we reached maximum hydration?
As an African-American girl with 4C hair, I've thought of this when I see the hair of people who live in African countries. Maybe there should be a 5 texture because I definitely know that the only people I have seen in America with thicker hair than me are African and no one seems to consider that.
@@JiannisJourney I have different blood in my vein which includes Nigerian, Benin Republic, Togolese, Brazilian and the one I can't trace and I think these are the formation of who I am even to my hair.
However, I've looked critically at the hair typing system and I see nothing less than 4-5 of the different system on my head.
So, I settle for porosity instead. My hair is high in porosity and it has helped me make better choices as regards my hair.

exactly, there’s a difference between CURLS and COILS👏🏽 the diameter of each “curl” has to be a certain length to be classified as a curl (ex: 3A/3B/3C hair is “curly hair”). It’s annoying that people don’t understand that 4c hair does have a curl pattern, it’s just super COILY coils/strands don’t ALWAYS clump together creating that “definition” people seem to be looking for. I feel like the density of your hair plays a big role in it too.

Beautifulll B yeah, they don’t teach it in cosmetology school and I do agree we should get rid of that chart. And did you ever notice the tightest coils has the lowest numbers and the curly/straighter hair the highest number? It’s low-key stupid, confusing, and like you said definitely a hierarchy.
Beautifulll B people would still label their hair as kinky even when it clearly curly
You are a glowing queen! Your skin radiates light and beauty 💜
Omg this was so fun to see, and I totally agree with how people are out here using the 4C title as if they have it and they don’t. I do understand those that don’t know but it never hurts to find out and learn your hair. It took me about a full year to figure out I have a mix of 4a/4b hair but mainly 4a and everyday I think it’s different but at the end of the day I appreciate my hair for all the things it can do.
I think that’s exactly the reason they say that they have4c. Our hair (4c) is flexible and highly dense meaning we can do anything with it and you never know how long it is 😁😁😁. I love my 4c hair!

ua-cam.com/video/XUQAXcLe0VI/v-deo.html
Nah my 4c hair is fine and low density🤣🤣 but yeah we can do a lot of styles.
Facts i be seeing 3a girls talking about 4c like girrlll
And I love you, you beautiful African beauty. 😄
My hair cannot be 4c seriously .. if there’s anything like 5c .. that will be me .. 😤😢😢😢
😄
Me too girl
Here here...
I personally think there's got to be more than 4 types of hair as my hair behaves differently to other people's 4c hair.
It's 4c use olive oil, honey, avocado and some people say ayurvedic ingredients. Follow Justlostjc, roothie patootie, fusionofcultures. They've some good tips. Homemade mixtures work best
Girl, you straight up serve us loooookkkssss every single videoo 😍😍😍 Love your makeupp!
I loveee that she started with a statement we all agree with.❗❗❗💪🏿
People are gonna start sending you pictures of their hair to see if it’s 4c lol
They need to be it’s sickening how mislead ppl are
I just thought about it 🤣🤣
I might do it bc im fooking confused
I remember when 4c hair was the forgotten or not talked about hair. Oh my how has times changed! My hair is like the guy.
Somalis aren’t really taught very well on “natural hair care” since we either braid it (if we have somewhat of a rough texture) or just do a wash and go (we cover it either ways). Lately I have been trying to figure out how to fix my hair (it has curls and such but it’s low porosity and because tough when it’s dry if oil isn’t added to it). I desperately need to learn from another black girl with my hair type. Plus my hair is only to my shoulders so I really don’t know what to do at this point... like how do I grow this thing out???? It’s been this length for years.
Hi! I'm somali too and I've been learning how to take care of my curly hair for a couple months now (my hair type is 3b/3c) I recommend going to r/curlyhair on reddit if you need help learning how to do your hair.
I kept straying from the actual vid bc you’re so pretty !🥺🥺
If this is 4c, then I officially have 4d hair type,
Even while wet and saturated with conditioners
I can't pass a comb through it
So I'm on corn rows all year long.
You just haven't found a product with good slip
Try pantene smooth and sleek conditionner. it has avocado oil and argan oil in it. gives my 4z hair good slip for detangling.the shampoo from the same line is very good too.
You could also try aloe Vera
😂😂😂😂😂 yes sister....
Sis, team 4D here😂. I make flaxseed gel and it works really well. TGIN has good products for 4C hair. The super fruit complex from Shea Moisture is A1, as well as their JBCO line (not all Shea moisture is bad) .I also heard that Qhemet Biologics (I bought a moisturizer that I’m using this week) is awesome for moisturizing and managing 4D hair. Their ingredients are amazing and I love what I’m reading so far. I’ve also been doing henna treatments and trying Ayurvedic powders and oils.I discovered that less is more. I have all these hair products that I bought, but I really need less. I even went back to good old hair grease because for some reasons, oils make my hair itch like crazy. Good luck.
You search 4c and a bunch of 3abc & 4a,b's pop up, it's annoying. These guys really need to stop misleading folks. If a true 4c decides goes natural and comes across some of these pages they might assume that those are the ideals their hair needs to live up to, maintaining and especially styling can become frustrating. They're actually doing more harm than they think.
Thank youuuu that's exactly what I'm saying and some people want to get mad when you call them out but it is what it is.💁🏾♀️
I'm getting confused when I take down my hair it shrinks like it makes me look like I cut my hair, almost like a fade somewhat so that's 4c right
Also my hair is very coliy and zigzagy
This video is so informative, knowing what TRUE 4C hair looks like is so important.
I’m actually the girl in this video/thumbnail I will be making a reaction video However, if I offended anyone my apologies I actually did clarify this on my tik tok I think that 4C is a beautiful hair texture but in no way shape or form was I purposely trying to claim it. I have a mixed hair texture that has some sections with 4C and I stand by that but too claim that I’m fully 4C that was where I went wrong🌹
you’re so pretty :)
I'm not 4c so I cannot speak on this issue but you are a beautiful young lady and you have beautiful hair :)
Always after the fact
@@ofosuaamissah1494
After the profit. 🙄
From someone with 4c hair I appreciate your apology ❤
Chizi, can you please allow captions on your videos. I’m deaf but enjoy your videos 😔
The captions are on
It'sNotAPhaseMom those are auto generated
omg! I will definitely look into it!
Janice Nganga what’s the difference between auto generated and regular?
quitecontrary23 auto generated captions are made by using speech recognition technology. Those are added by youtube automatically (most of the time). Regular captions are added by the youtuber. Auto generated captions are not as good because it can’t really pick up dialects or accents, so it can sometimes be wayyy off. Hope this helps
Honestly true 4c is mesmerising
I could honestly watch people style it for hours omg
i have straight asian hair but i love watching and supporting 💓
Lol I found this quite entertaining. Let em know sis!!
Yes, I want to see the YT version. Lots of 4C impersonators in these YT streets.
I was JUST thinking the same thing!
Wait...wut... do they claim the Afro to?
can u name some because i’m trying to see some
Chizi, for the girl with the blonde looking colored hair the texture of her hair may be altered by the color treatment as well.
Agreed
Islandgirl POV
no it’s a lot. because bleach looses curls
Exactly
@@jalo7289 I often bleach my hair and it stays the same 4c texture
That's actually why I stopped dying my hair; it changed my hair texture and straightened my hair that had a looser coil....looked almost like I'd permed it
I have looked at different videos on here and wondered how some people's 4c hair did things mine has failed to do for years. I just thought it was the products y'all got back there. Thanks for clearing up the mislabelling, it does cause insecurity.
I'm really happy that people are starting to appreciate tighter curl patterns, although they are not necessarily doing it correctly, if we steer them in the right direction they'll get there soon.
I think we all know a lot of the people who claim the wrong texture have no clue what they're talking about. At all.
And then you have the dumb subscribers coming like “hOwYuGoNtElLHaAbOutHeRhAIr”, like tf what does that have to do with anything?
@@Flo-hy3zq exactly
@@Flo-hy3zq right. They go hard too
Everyone claiming they have it all tough with 4c hair😌🙄.
Like Gurl please....u don't know the 4c struggle. Stay in ur 3a,3b, and 4a lane
I have 4a in the very back of my head and it is very different from my 4b/c hair. I really this it should be called 3D lol
Period Sis🙄
Why do people assume 4a is so easy to deal with? I’m starting to think my hair is either damaged or just really thick cause I relate to the struggles people with 4b/4c relate to. I can barely detangle my hair and no products work. Maybe it’s a low porosity thing
@@auralkill4249 you have to train your hair and create a routine along with finding products that work.
How are u just gonna exclude 4a from the type 4 catogory
You look FAB in this video, makeup, hair, scarf agh LOVVE💕

Chizi have you really still not replaced the batteries in your smoke detector??? Lmao
Jordan child! Lol sis, get it together. We wantuy to safe oh
Now that you mentioned it I now notice or hear it lol.
I noticed it and as a former fireman’s daughter, I can hear his voice saying “change that battery! Do you want TO DIE!?!?”
I thought it was mine at 1st 😮
I was thinking the same thing, lol
That robot dance describing the 4c hair pattern tho👏🏾😂... subscribed 👍🏽
Sis I appreciate your Master of Arts in natural hair. Keep up the good work. I use those tags in order to educate. Thank you for sharing
I think people just don't know their actual hair type.
Right.. I know I don't😂😂 my hair has its days. I just gave up and went with the flow.
Yea but those 3b 4a girls...they knowwww damn well they’re not 4c
I agree it’s hard to hair type especially when you’re close to 4c but all the other hair types should know that it’s def not 4c
Fabiola Filsaime I agree, I have this problem my hair will get kinky but not the type of kinky that someone with 4c has. I just have a mixture of curls and kinks
i will let that slide if the hair is like 4a, 4b not if its type 3 YOU KNOW
I don't know how to define my hair type but I know from watching Chizi and other naturals its not 4c. My curls clump and curl without product. However, there is this one spot at my crown... that thing reached back to my African ancestors
That's how my hair is😂
@@BlackGirlLovesAnime6 chile... I just want to shave that spot lol
That African auntie laugh wit shoulders moving and everything tho😌
Ur makeup and earrings were mad on point
I wonder do non black people do this 😂. Girl my hair is 1a. No it’s 1b. I love us. We are passionate as hell.
No they don't. It's sad really we've been taught to find any small thing to keep ourselves separated (Jim Crow laws).
I can’t speak for all ethnicities. but most white people know nothing about their hair and don’t have a clue of how to take care of it. 🤷🏼♀️
@@asmith1839 yep, i'm white and i learned just 3 months ago that my hair was 3a/3b and how to take care of it. White people are just like "oh your hair is curly, oh it is frizzy", but most of us don't know what we are really talking about. None of us white curly girls knows how to take care of our hair properly before we search for it ourselves on the internet (a lot of us straighten it, cause you know, shitty beauty standards : it's easier to be in the "norm")
More like talk about breakage and split ends? Or it's just straight/wavy/curly
I really see so much nasty dollar store shampoo in people's showers 😖
@Assa • how are we pathetic?
The girl with the natural shrinkage is the one that got me. I was really out here thinking she was being sarcastic. But I looked at her other videos and realized she wasn't. The second hand embarrasment was real with that one.
I wanna see a part 2!!! And I subscribed to your channel! 💖
Coming from an extended family of pin straight to barely wavy hair, I love seeing people of all hair types talk about their hair and how it does what it does. The fact that there are so many ways hair can be is so cool!!!
I have 4C hair 😭 And I hate to see these people lying! My Tiktok is Darkjada. Come see some real 4C
I can't even tell what my hair is. How DO YOU KNOW? I just say I have type 4
Crazy Kookie you can google a hair type chart:) I have 2c 3a and 3b (: you can have a lot of types or just one. Just google a chart and it’ll show the types of coils and curls and waves
that dudes hair is so thick it makes him look like a chia pet. and im jealous. lmao
I've always wanted to be natural but I got my perm when I was younger because my mom started her businesses and got to busy to do my rough hair. I didn't really much care for my hair when I was little because my mom always did my hair and it was out of my way. While growing up I was wondering why my hair wouldn't curl like other girls so I eventually asked my mom to let me grow out my natural hair and then cut it. Me not knowing how rough and coily my hair was, I had a satisfaction that even if it didn't curl, I would still be natural like I wanted to be. Now to this day seeing other girls makes me embrace my coils, at first I was hating how dry and frizzy my hair would get after moisturizing. I would get frustrated because my hair would still be dry and shrink even after putting creams in. It looked shiny but other than that, my hair would be the type where you look at it and think it's unhealthy. Now I understand better that it's beautiful to have course, and thick hair. While transitioning, I didn't care if it was coily, curly, wavy, I just wanted the big puff that I had when I was younger. I hate seeing every other girl say their 4c when their hair clearly curls and barely coils. I actually never became 4c when it got popular, it's just I started embracing having 4c when everyone who has short hair like me showed their hair.
I honestly have so much respect for you for being kind and respectful to the people in the videos instead of yelling at them.
