Happy New Year. I have followed you from the early days, I find it difficult to comment on your main blog, so doing it on here. I loved the idea of the gifts from the farmers market. I usually give chocolates to my bin men, same men each year, but gave a box of biscuits this year. I would love to see what your presents were, that you showed Xmas Eve. Regarding falls, I too, only take one item a time up or down stairs. If I haven’t got my shopping trolley, I take a walking stick, not because I need it, but because where I live, the pavements are so bad, with raised slaps out, or broken. My daughter took me round locally to see all the Xmas lights on people’s houses.x❤🎉

I listen to a lot of youtube, do watercolour painting, listen to ai on notebooklm discussions, It is only for one day and if you plan it well it can be very good. people can cause a lot of stress and drama

I have been on my own for years and everyone seems to think it's awful ( I quite like it ) and I get lots of invitations which I appreciate... then you have the dilemna... if I go to one person the others say why didn't you come to mine etc so I'm frightened to offend... people are so kind.... but I am grateful I have choices when so many don't. I love the mug.. I' m pushing 40 too... much like yourself, from the wrong side !.. I'm with you over the Christmas thing.. all this fuss and stress ( for some people ) just for a day... I totally agree solo christmas can be great by choice, they don't need to be awful at all. I don't miss the hassle, stress, boring conversations, drama and being bossed about. I think solo christmas should trend. Hearing people get murdered on christmas day, well that won't happen to me
Nice to have videos over the Christmas period. I had Christmas alone through choice (avoids stress, family arguments, boring entertainment etc). I had food I liked to make, and easy to go. Mainly toasties. I love them. Some chocs but I think I won't do that next year, too sickly. I did some water colour painting, watched some slow tv on youtube watching walks in Finland, looking forward to the fruit shrubs I bought from Christmas gifts, raspberry, gooseberry, blackcurrants. As a gardener looking forward to spring and planning for that in the New Year. One primrose flowered on Christmas day, it was so mild. I got a risciprocating saw for christmas to chop some overgrown trees down which saves money on a tree surgeon and gives my garden more light. can't wait to use it .I got my friend an ironing board, as his broke down, some usb hand warmers, they are great, go check them out,cycling gloves. so a good christmas for useful things and gifts and no people although I did go for a walk on boxing day in the park and spoke to a lone dog walker who was house sitting. I feel more recharged having christmas alone doing what I want, eating what I want that being absolutel drained by being with family who are dysfunctional
If I were in my home town on Christmas Day, I would not have be able to walk a foot without bumping into another person ! It is a seaside town on the Southcoast, Now I am in a much better place with quiet beaches. However,I had a lovely day. My son in law collected me at 4.30 for dinner and present opening at 6. I spent a lot of the day reading and revelling in the quiet. Today it is very cold but I have been for a nice long walk . It will be good to start a new year with lots of projects and plans, and of course the Spring won't be long arriving with the garden coming alive. Travel hopefully, that is my motto for life. Thank you for your videos, please keep them coming
Not lucky. It's easy to be led along the path of life, to follow others, and allow them to make decisions for you. It's much harder to choose your own path and take responsibility for your own life, and accept that you might make mistakes. Nothing is forever, if you want to change, you can do.

I love living by the sea also but not been out much. It wasn’t that cold when we went to our churches midnight service. We plan going out a bit tomorrow as I’m not working due to work switching my shifts x Need to get some Xmas cards in the sale. I spend most of my time on my own. I have always lived alone apart from one year in my early twenties, when I lived with a boyfriend. That was a disaster so I never bothered again. I don't understand why you say you are happy in your own company, then you say you struggle. I struggle with nothing because I accept that I am responsible for every decision I make. I can change things if I so wish. I am happier now that I have cast aside all pressures to conform.
