Good review, I like that they kept the ICE and EV on the same platform, I dont get why most companies think an EV has to look a certain way. For example, I think the EQS looks significantly less appealing than a regular E-Class. This 5 series has a lot of interesting angles, sometimes I thinks it looks great, sometimes not so much, but its definitely grown on me. To me it almost looks like if the Germans made their version of an American muscle car (and probably even more so when they reveal the M5)
I have the i4M50 and the brother has the Taycan CT 4S, both of us prefer the BMW as a daily and this i5M60 knocks spots off the i4M50 in every single way so frankly its the best every day big EV on sale at the moment IMO.
I was in talking to the BMW guys yesterday and I didnt realize they have like $9000 in incentives on the i5 - they also have like 12 grand on an i7 CRAZY!
I looked at a couple of those including the Tesla, Taycan, Lucid etc. All things considered, the BMW is the best compromise. The Porsche is awesome but suprisingly small on the inside. The Lucid is a great deal but the build quality is almost as bad as the Teslas. The I5`s build quality is leaps and bounds ahead of the comeptition and it feels like a luxury car not like an electric toy. So for me it`s the BMW. And the lease delas BMW offers on their currentl EV line up is just irrestible. Friend of mine leased an I4 M50 for something like 500 bucks. That`s less than what a RAV 4 costs.
I have this car since November, and loving all of it every single drive except for one: the inside camera is acting like dictatorship, your eyes looking side way at the map, it yells at you constantly, too sensitive and you cannot turn it off!!! VERY SUPER ANNOYING...Imagine spending 100K and get yelled every time you drive, for you to pay attention on the road, even when you pay attention, it yells when you look at the map on the side.
yes I can turn it off but it will turn on automatically on the next trip, Reddit has lots of discussion finally everyone agreed to just put a piece of tape @@KDR816
Love when journalist like to justify these ridiculous car prices "Oh compared to their competition it's a steal" Do you mean steal your money modern cars are overpriced bricks with too many electronics that will fail leaving you broken in repairs.
We shall see what ice supporters say in the next few years when their, ice engines are no longer viable or available. Why do ice cars lose most drag races against ev's?😮
Never electric cars. At least not these days. Maybe after 20 years. Electric cars are still far behind where they should be. I see only drawbacks compared to cars with combustion engine (Price, range, charging time, charger infrastructure, they are more heavier). Electric cars today cannot compete with combustion engine cars. Sorry, that's the truth.
It depends on how and when and where you use your car. Southern California is very electric friendly, with over 500 charging stations getting built over the next 12-18 months. Florida’s infrastructure is also getting very good! Why? They sell the most electric cars and have the demand.

Wheels are very nice.really suit the car.

I hated the most is this radar was put in the middle of the grill, ruining the design. In M60 it is maybe, but in other i5 models it is the worst.
