Great video! People take videos of long trips by car or train, but most don't think to make them time-lapse so I can actually have time to watch them. Plus, it's fun to travel at 2000 miles per hour. I've subscribed so I can watch them all.

Great video!! When I lived in the Bronx, I used to take the #6 train to high school in the city, then to work (also in the city). If it had gone that fast, I would have been to work and school in about two minutes.

Love these front window videos. Will be such a shame when these pieces of rolling stock are retired and these types of videos will be a thing of the past.

+Dj Hammers I can remember when you could get a wonderful front ride view on my daily lines, the A,C, E, F, G, N, R, L, 7, and many more lines in NYC. There were days traveling home from H.S. (and later work) where I might purposefully wait for the next train, or take a different non-direct route home, just so I could look out the front window next to the motorman's cab. Wish back then I could have had a video phone, but they didn't exist back in the late 80's/early 90's. I think I covered almost every mile of revenue track back then at some point, even getting an unexpected trip to the holding/crossover tracks at 71st Continental on a G train one day when I had fallen asleep and was missed until the motorman was walking back through the train for the next run out. Someday it will only be seen on fan trips and videos such as yours. Thanks again for making them and sharing.

They are not a thing of the past, in Sydney there is a train driver that fills high speed cab view videos, his name is CubOz
I wish you could have slowed it down at the station stops. Even at .25 speed I couldn't see the station names. I used to get on at Soundview Avenue (Soundview-Morrison) to go to high school back in '77 - '80

+Shadowdreamcast The R142As that used to be on the 6 went to Kawasaki to be converted in to R188s to run on the 7 line. The R62As that used to run on the 7 line were displaced by these R188s, and now run on the 6 line.

For me the payoff was seeing that hint of City Hall station and then when the train finally emerged from the tunnel in the Bronx.
I could've been able to see these trains but I was too busy at home

I have two questions; 1. Why are there so many timers on the Lexington avenue line? 2. Did you cut the video at the parts where the train is at the station or were you on a NIS train?

Yes but it wasn't abandoned, the trains became too long and the distance between the platform and the train was to large so it was a forced shutdown
