I fucking love doom production. he's not THE best beatmaker, but his instrumentals fit his music so perfectly. you can hear how much fun he had flipping these samples - it was like a game for him, and that's why I like him. rip Daniel
METAL FINGERS inspired me to get my mpc1k many moons ago. “Choose your weapon: microphone, beats, or the wheels-of-steel, I own a crown in all three for getting down without a doubt” -MF DOOM
When you are one of the GOATs in one area, it makes sense for other areas to be overlooked. Happy that that didn't discouraged him from making some HEAT on the MPC
Depends. Sometimes just resampling to the right pitch will adjust the size perfectly. But other times is not as straight forward. Like if they stretched it without changing pitch, I have to try to match it by waveform, or trial and error
A way DOOM and many other producers would find good samples is just hours of listening to records it’s mad tedious but it’s worth it if you make some good beats out of it
Usually I think you would chop around the drums (ie the chops would begin and end at a kick/snare) so it isn't noticeable once you play your own drums over it
If you use reason you can use the splicer mode with Mimic to get different stems and then play them with your midi. You can even set your own stems in the transcription window if you want.
I dont hear people talking about DOOMs production enough, really underrated as a producer
He is unique af.
You can see that he wasn't as technical as full time producers, but he had the vision and the skill for suuuure!
He's so good at rhyming he overshadows himself
Is he better rapper or producer? What do you think?
@@N3g4tiv3Imp4ct Obviously rapper, I never seen nobody rap and create an environment like him

euacalyptus is so gooooooooooood! so good!! incarcerated blues forever
stating the obvious here but doom was mad underrated as a beatmaker. had one of the best ears for dope samples

The Metal Finger ...DOOMILE
Great job! The visuals really makes the remake more practical
Lol I was already hearing the first song when I started the video
DOOM era foda, dava pra fazer uma série só com os samples dos sons dele, tudo genial!
um de um
Your content is fire🤲🏻 much gratitude for all the knowledge you spread and all the work you put in these breakdowns🙏🏻👌🏼
:)
One of the best hiphop beat makers
Not many people would listen to the Dave Mathews track and think "Yep, that's a beat right there', but I'm glad he did!
It was such a bad cover in my opinion, like the only good part was the guitar solo
Yo man your work is amazing! What about to do some breakdown of khrysis beats? If u want to
Imma take a look, but the list is infinite at this point
@@Narokx Big up!

how did you find the exact amount he sped up the samples?
Depends. Sometimes just resampling to the right pitch will adjust the size perfectly. But other times is not as straight forward. Like if they stretched it without changing pitch, I have to try to match it by waveform, or trial and error
when i make beats a still try to find these kind of samples but i dont have a good hear
just find something that sounds good to you.
A way DOOM and many other producers would find good samples is just hours of listening to records it’s mad tedious but it’s worth it if you make some good beats out of it
how does he filter out the drums from the original sample or is he just playing over them?
Usually I think you would chop around the drums (ie the chops would begin and end at a kick/snare) so it isn't noticeable once you play your own drums over it
What software is best for sampling ?
Fpc on fl stydio
brooo, how can i separate the sample by stems??
If you use reason you can use the splicer mode with Mimic to get different stems and then play them with your midi. You can even set your own stems in the transcription window if you want.
