In many Indian languages ' Fani ' means snake , not any random snake, probably a holy snake. Since Indian culture has deep rooted tradition of nature worship , so naming a child ' fani ' is not considered weird.

What language is that, I speak 5 languages excluding English, and never heard that. Only 'feni' I know is the konkan desi liquor 😂.
