I support fishing for meat, especially when taking the meat back to share with your tribe. I don't understand why some guys seem to think that "torture & release" fishing is morally superior. I suspect that the real reason some guys release good fish is because they don't want to be bothered cleaning & taking care of them. Nice Crapps there Spencer, thanks for the video !!!

Drum are under appreciated all the way around. Same with gar. I'll never call a native fish a nuisance, no matter how many baits a gar destroys. The only "trash" fish I haven't caught yet is a bowfin, really wanting one.

Speaking of cats I assume you know where the lucky rabbits foot came from. Back in the depression and before you had to leave an unskinned foot on any rabbit because people were buying what they thought were rabbits when it actually a house cat. Skin the two out side by side and they look identical 🤯. There's a lake round here where we tip half ounce jugs with extra large shinners and catch slabs like those. Great vid and keep your powder dry and your pantry stocked young man 💪😎🙏

I know we like to keep our hotspots secret, but you never even mention the state or region. I like the content folks who tell where they're at. You don't have to be specific, but you can say something like Southwest Arkansas, and then let us guess the rest! Just a thought.

Slabbers down south are real slabbers compared to Mo., Ia. huh. I remember being happy with 12-13", even weighing those near or over 14" up north, then moved here and never catch any under 13" the entire trip.
    Bobcat?

I don't know about that. There's some sleeper crappie spots up north. With that being said, the southern crappies are still bruisers.

@@RiverCertified I've filled a Mo. limit of 30 with 3-5 in the 12-14+" range, none under 10" like my last winter outing just south of the Ia. line off hwy 63. I'd never stopped fishing either of those 2 states because I had as much meat as I needed after only 16 crappies, all in the 13-17" range. Black only.
For 46 degree temps those seemed fairly active, and taking far bigger jigs than I'd ever used. I've dropped to as small as 1/32 jig with plastic barely big enough to cover the hook, slight twitch every 45 seconds so they'd notice it, had time to decide if they're hungry.
