Drum are always a joy to find on your hook. Gotta love the fight they bring to the adventure!
They taste pretty good too
Another fantastic video Spencer. Crappie make for some fine eating. Thanks for all your hard work of getting these videos out to all your followers. I certainly enjoy watching and when a new one drops I'm usually pretty quick to see them. You stay safe and God bless you and yours 😊😊😊😊
I loved what you said about finding a pattern. I'm 67, my grandpa taught me one important thing besides the lifelong live of fishing. There's no such thing as there not bitting, there just not bitting what your tossing.
Based off of that I bet your grandpa shared a lot more smart things than that. Thanks for watching!
Good to see you on the boat with CCO ! He sure made the most out of that lottery catch !!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Would love to catch a big ol' drum on that light tackle... yee haw! Love some crappie fishing too!
It's my idea of a good time for sure. Thanks man!
Stu has a great channel. We watched him build that huge boat in his barn. Great series!
He's about as resourceful as they come. Glad you enjoyed it man!
Fishin with Stu! Hell yeah!
Definitely a good time!
Add some garlic and Frank’s …. I enjoyed the video….
I needed a video tonight …. Bed bound today … pain lvl 10.
Appreciate the video !
You and KC Justin keep my spirits up.
Dan
You bet Dan. Hopefully you start feeling better. Hope you get some good rest.
Even while after crappie Spencer finds catfish lol. You’ve found some slabs, man! Pretty awesome and funny adventure with Stu, for sure. Hope to see more crappie fishing, Spencer!
I feel like it being a channel cat makes it even better haha. I'll stay after those crappies. Glad you enjoyed it!
Now if you fried up some crappie and bobcat you would have a wild surf and turf ,great video thanks for the trip Spencer
After eating that Bobcat, that sounds phenomenal!
And some wild asparagus? ❤❤❤
Just a fan bub and wanted to say I love your videos..keep doin you skin!
I appreciate it dude!
You and stu make a pretty good team well for a fishing video not necessarily fishing but good content you both are great
Made me smile; again. Thanks.
You bet. Glad you enjoyed it.
“Crappie spot” joke earned that like button today lol
😆😆😆
I've never seen or been able to find Crapy that big. Only in others videos .. Excellent Video
🤜🌟🤛🐬🐋🐟
I hope you find em. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing. Amazing to think that boat was built by that man in his garage and he's not a welder or fabricator by trade.
Some People just have a natural talent that boat is pretty sweet
Impressive to say the least. It's fun to drive too.
Great video Spencer, totally enjoyed watching y'all, wow what some nice crappie,💯💯👍👍
Hey Spencer, I really appreciate your videos. My son and I love the camping and catch and cooks down by the river. We’re both just kinda get started out and would love to see your take on cleaning and filleting cats. Everyone seems to do it different. Thanks again for the awesome videos.
Great video Spencer. Crappie make for some fine eating. Thanks for all your hard work of making these videos as I certainly enjoy watching. You stay safe and God bless you and yours 😊😊😊😊
Good to see you having a nice time. Eat your fill of those fish. They are one of the tastier fish. As always, stay safe.
Good to see you out there with Stu! Big fan of both channels!
Thanks a bunch man!
One of my favorite fish to catch and eat! And they are never to big to eat.
Great Video. Stu is the man!
No doubt! Thanks for watching!
Always good to see Stu on your channel!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Those drum are good fun to catch. Pretty good eating too!
Would love to try some. Great stuff as always brother!! 👍🏾👊🏾✊🏾🙂💯
I'd recommend it to anyone. Thanks for always watching dude!
Still watching ur 📹 my Bro. A living legend 🙌🏾
Glad ya dig em man. Still a long ways to go to hit legend status.
I heard a study the other day that said big crappies are not the ones doing the breeding.
I need to look into it more. I don't know much about them.
Didn't slay them but got enough to stink up a Skillet!!and had a good time doin it👍👍
You got that right. Thanks for watching!
As always brother another well done video and I would definitely try bobcat
Glad you enjoyed it! I'd definitely recommend Bobcat
I'll tell you what bro, you let me in on the secret drum recipe and we'll go in halves on a drum guiding business on the Arkansas River. Seems like that's what I usually catch anyway 🤘
Great content as usual, Spencer.
Awesome video them were some slab crappie also caught the variety pack drum and a cat keep it up and keep those lines tight
Thanks man. Ill keep doing my best.
Nice cast mate
Thanks!
Y'all made a great video together. Most of the time I get to go fishing I for meat for the family. I'll have to try bobcat next time I get one. Loved the video Spencer and Stu.
Glad you enjoyed that one. Hope you get that bobcat. I might start trapping now.
I'd love to catch one like that. Good eating ❤
Fun stuff! Thanks for sharing!
God bless all here.
Thanks for watching!
Really miss catching crappie. Born and raised in Iowa but moved to west coast in 68.😢😢😢
No crappies out there? Never been, but just assumed they were in most places.
Yea!!😊
Great video Spencer
Thanks!
👍👍👍👍👍great fun 🎣video
Thanks 👍
I support fishing for meat, especially when taking the meat back to share with your tribe. I don't understand why some guys seem to think that "torture & release" fishing is morally superior. I suspect that the real reason some guys release good fish is because they don't want to be bothered cleaning & taking care of them. Nice Crapps there Spencer, thanks for the video !!!
Some of us just find peace on the water bud and don’t need to kill to find it. Fish are friends not food
Fish are food as well.
It really just depends on what kind of fish we are talking about and the size because I'm going to release the big fish because they do more for the spawn
Naw its ur fish do what u want with it. Eat it dont eat it. Why do some people think their opinion is morally superior?
😂
Slab crappy with a Bobcat lunch!! Real surf n turf 😂 love the video man!!!!
A pretty unorthodox surf and turf for sure haha
Drum are under appreciated all the way around. Same with gar. I'll never call a native fish a nuisance, no matter how many baits a gar destroys. The only "trash" fish I haven't caught yet is a bowfin, really wanting one.
Bowfin are fun to catch and fight hard!!! Eating wise id stick with the drum or gar...Not saying I would not try a new way of cooking a Bowfin...
Bowfin are fun to catch but can be a pain when fishing for panfish and they destroy it while your really it in
I wolda ate the drum but thats me hahha
Looks like fun bro
Crappie fishing is seriously fun down at LOZ in the spring, you can catch absolute huge slabs right off the docks. But the thing is, I hate keeping then, you need 50 of them to make a decent meal lol.
Looked like a good day of fishing and eating . Pigeon isn't bad either.
Listen you two. The bigger the Crappie, the bigger the samitch.
I like that logic a lot haha
Rabbit is what they eat lol
Eating Bobcat?? I was trapped in my early 20's and I never considered eating Bobcat back then. I trapped Raccoon, Bobcat and grey fox. Eating the meat of ANY predator besides bear was considered a no no!
You did.manage to catch some "slab" Crappie for sure! Was actually surprised you didn't do better on the bridge though! I always do well on bridges for crappie and catfish. Very interesting trip!
Amazing bro 10:00
Thank you much
If there was noodles with that dish, ya coulda called it Kung Pao Meow
😆😆😆😆
Get y'all some slab city jig 😊
I'll check em out
I hope we all catch a giant
Amen to that
Wah dapet ikan besar mantap jiwa sepot nya lurrr
I wish the drum around me would get as big as your guide is talking about. Biggest one I've gotten so far is a 26" drum.
Stu would make a great guide if he ever decided to do it. I love catching big drum. Thanks for watching.
When jigs stop working troll #5 shad raps.
Well done sir
Thank you kindly
Was the bobcat actually good I guess we all go to Chinese restaurants
It was actually very good
Being a predator animal is it better to cook the bobcat well done? Or is it ok to eat medium well?
I would assume we'll done.
I was thinking the same.
I've always wanted to try cat.
Bobcat is quite good. My coworker gave me one last summer. I cleaned it and we had many meals out of it. I thought it tasted more like a lean pork than rabbit, but i am comparing it to our domesticated rabbits. Not wild rabbit.
There's definitely layers to it. Regardless, I'd be happy to eat it again. Thanks for watching.
Well at least it's in the car family 😂
Stu is a crappie guide really.
Hes one hell of a fisherman for sure!
@@RiverCertified love your catfishing ....all your fishing.
You really did eat bobcat!!! 14 inch crappie is very impressive!
They might as well eat a house cat . A cat is a cat .
Sure did. They crappies are a blast when they get that big.
Speaking of cats I assume you know where the lucky rabbits foot came from. Back in the depression and before you had to leave an unskinned foot on any rabbit because people were buying what they thought were rabbits when it actually a house cat. Skin the two out side by side and they look identical 🤯. There's a lake round here where we tip half ounce jugs with extra large shinners and catch slabs like those. Great vid and keep your powder dry and your pantry stocked young man 💪😎🙏
As a friend to all felines i would never hunt one to eat. But i wouldnt pass up new food. I love food. The fish heck yeah! Smash
My rule is, I'm only going to kill something I'm going to eat or use for bait. I kinda want to try coyote hunting, but that's why I haven't. I'm not gonna eat them.
Catfish can be too big to keep....so can bass.... Crappie have not caught one over the too big to keep line...An you ate BOB's cat? thats messed up! Oh and some of the lakes I fish the min keeper is 12 inchs of crappie...so maybe thats why I do not think of any crappie to big to keep? Great video
♥
Nice crappies
Thank you sir
Spencer what reel are you using and where is skip frickin jack at.
A piscifun carbon x 2000. I didn't bring him because it wasn't my boat.
I know it’s beyond early but do you say it’s possible to catch flatheads before the cold front in the Midwest?/missouri? If so is big baits worth it or keep it to small and cut baits until the end of winter? Thank you
Start small for sure. I usually like to start fishing near creek mouths early in the year. Or a dam.
Well i think stu is better at trapping lol great times gents.
Tough to have a banger day everyday. He's definitely good at trapping though.
I enjoy eating drum. Best kept secret in fresh water.
I've had my fair share and couldn't agree more.
Good stuff. I've never tried Bobcat. Their season overlaps with deer season. I've had em in range plenty of times. Now you're telling me that they're delicious? Poor things. They'd be better off if I didnt have that knowledge.
Good ole stache stickk
Solid fishing rod man
Genuine question, whats the purpose of having 3 trolling motors on the boat?
The back ones are brakes. Google "crappie brakes" and you'll see how they work.
I would not use that thick braid for crappie smh. Takes the fun out of it. Also takes forever to get down
Attaboy 👊
Thanks Denny!
Thank the lord we do not have drums in the northeast lol
They're fun to catch and solid table fair
That's awfully rare bobcat careful with trichinosis
Lets gooooo
Yes siirrrrrrr
Bass and crappie are bait but they do taste good themselves
Agreed
👍😂👍😂👍
And sarcasim of the year goes to lol
I will happily accept that reward haha
Try "blackened drum" recipe.
I've had redfish like that
My grampa would take a paddle and smack the shit out of the water a good 15times or more he would say nothing beats a good storm for crappie fishing we could be 20feet from trees or lilly pads or a dock and we would be catching crappies
I ate a cat😂
It happens to me at times. Usually a catfish though haha
@@RiverCertified 😁😁
You need more rods.
Agrees
5th nice video
Very nice sir
I didnt know you could eat bobcat ive heard of people eating mountain lion but never bobcat
That makes 2 of us. I'm glad I got the chance to sample it though.
@@RiverCertified what does it taste like
I know we like to keep our hotspots secret, but you never even mention the state or region. I like the content folks who tell where they're at. You don't have to be specific, but you can say something like Southwest Arkansas, and then let us guess the rest! Just a thought.
"I'm a killer" He must know that you Eat fish daily. 😂
😆😆😆
Me I that fisherman Bass fisherman hate Bec I'm grocery fisherman not a trophy fisherman I go bass fishing just to catch a mess and bring 'em for a fish fry
You be eating dog next
I don't know about that. Might try a coyote though.
*Promo SM*
Crappie fisherman are crappy. Sharp hooks to ya
Agreed. You too
Slabbers down south are real slabbers compared to Mo., Ia. huh. I remember being happy with 12-13", even weighing those near or over 14" up north, then moved here and never catch any under 13" the entire trip.
Bobcat?
I don't know about that. There's some sleeper crappie spots up north. With that being said, the southern crappies are still bruisers.
@@RiverCertified I've filled a Mo. limit of 30 with 3-5 in the 12-14+" range, none under 10" like my last winter outing just south of the Ia. line off hwy 63. I'd never stopped fishing either of those 2 states because I had as much meat as I needed after only 16 crappies, all in the 13-17" range. Black only.
For 46 degree temps those seemed fairly active, and taking far bigger jigs than I'd ever used. I've dropped to as small as 1/32 jig with plastic barely big enough to cover the hook, slight twitch every 45 seconds so they'd notice it, had time to decide if they're hungry.
