I like how the main character isn't made out to be someone who has all the answers for a change. The grim tone of the enviroment and the story fit perfectly.
Oh, Idea! Since the protagonist is now incapable of using his Persona and has essentially become a shadow, the power of the fool dispurses amongst the party. And the 12 Personas you had equipped are give to each party member. Be it randomly or selected by the player.
Wow that's a deep ending... If only I could have figured out this myself. Now if this was going to come-out I wouldn't want to play as the main character...
Nyarlathotep could be a Extra-Hidden-Secret Boss fought in New Game+ after the Final Boss with her causing chaos that forces the rest of the crew to fight her, until it’s revealed that she caused this in an attempt to bring back Kai in a new life Free from Yog Sothoth, which actually ends up working, in part thanks to implied support from Philemon, so Kai gets to live and Nyarly takes back the crown of main baddie in the series. GOOD LUCK!

Personally I prefer the idea of Nyarlathotep being the main villain/final boss, it would be a nice return to form.
