You are amazing, I now feel comfortable pruning my tree. I especially like when you mentioned, you don’t need to know how to climb a tree let the experts do that. ❤
Very informative. Thanks!
To avoid struggling with the saw try letting it do the cutting. Don’t push it into the wood, just let it stroke back & forward through the whole length of the blade. You’ll be amazed how much easier it is. 👌
Great video! thanks for the handsaw warning too
Kenny is so cool! very informative !
Thanks for sharing!
Under, Over and Final just outside the branch collar
Good job
Great video thank u. Been learning this in my current course :) 🙏
Very good tutorial.
Glad you liked it!
Very helpful thanks
How about just simple small branches you can lob off. I’m often wondering where to cut them back to and if angle makes any difference.
same method applies.
Good stuff
Thank you!
Does it matter the time of year to prune? I have a 6-7 year old ornamental that’s just starting to get its leaves. We are in zone 6b. Thanks
Usually best to prune when the tree is dormant
I think...chainsaw, one cut. Done
Someone please tell him of the inventions of power tools.
Screw that…I’m using my Sawzall.
I have a maple tree with a big 5 inch branch in my way. Is it OK to cut off a big diameter branch?
1:01 Love it.
The video starts at 1:51
Warns about hand injuries while not wearing gloves, classic.
Terms like "undercut" and "overcut" are what make people get their blades and bars pinched in limbs.
I call it doing a CT scan.
C= Compression
T = Tension
The Compression side of a limb is not always on the bottom, nor is it always on the top if it's not on the bottom. It can be at any angle around the limb.
But once you've identified which angle it is, just replace your term "undercut" with "Compression Cut" and fewer people will have their blades and bars pinched, which is really what causes many injuries.
Instructions begin at 2:00
I did it with an electric Sawzall in half the time
You forgot to wear gloves!
Maybe some leather gloves would be good idea
You really don’t need that irritating background music. Some of us with hearing difficulties find it extremely annoying.
Use captions
You really don’t need to make irritating comments about the guys music. Relax haha life is too short my man.
I can hear him clearly. It isn’t loud. Thanks for the video man! ❤
The vocal minorities always demanding everyone cater to them. So pathetic.
Go watch different video ur not forced to watch it
Well, you talk so much that I pruned myself out of this video before you got to the cut part.
Love the tree pun!
Totally unsafe. You have to take the weight off the tree limb so it's not so heavy
This technique is spot on. Im trying to imagine anything that's unsafe about this video. Yeah, still thinking about it....
The whole point of the 3 cut method is to properly fell a limb/branch the right way. He did just that. Then he removed the rest "safely and accurately" as to not damage the tree from the weight of the limb/branch.
How is the world is this unsafe?
In some cases you do have to take weight off but not in this one. Limb was skinny and low to the ground that it wouldn't damage the grass and with nothing around it to be damaged. I call this a win.
