The 3rd floor/ascend is doable, every floor boss is essentially walk in a circle around it and hit. The floors themsselves you try to avoid every debuff if possible. For boons you take damage and speed when possible. Relics you pump in max honour and honour resist. That will clock you quickly through the 3 floors and it's not bad for farming jewels. NOW 4th floor/ascend is some bullshit. Everything there hard hits you about a 4th of your honour since everything is scaled up per floor so you try to rush through it to get to the boss while avoiding everything. And the boss is essentially a damage skill check since you need to get him killed in time as he's throwing 100 orbs in your face to tick your remaining honour down. FUN.
@@LiveActionMan Yep, the time event you can manage, it's a clockwise run for the orbs (bit the same as Poe1's eater run) . But the orbs are just that, dodge-on-the-go. A minion does a lot though since they tank all the orb boomerangs for free. I like the fight, just don't like the premise of it.
I think it's a challenging content which has all rights to exist, but it shouldn't gatekeep ascendancies. And it's not like getting the last 2 points with ultimatum is any better. If people are willing to pay 30-50ex to get carried through sekhemas, then there's something wrong. In PoE1 carry services existed but it was way cheaper because uber lab wasn't that hard as long as you managed to get some basic defenses and it was easily doable with any build. Here you need to run sekhemas multiple times just to unlock relic slots and to find decent relics, also honour is a pain in the ass for a lot of builds. In torchlight infinite, for example, you pretty much just need to get to level X, level Y, etc to get your points. I feel like there should be a compromise between TLI and PoE2.
I was attempting 4th ascension. After a few attempts I finally made it to the final boss room. The final boss was tough, but what made me fail was a wired time mini game about 80% in. I didn't know how that mini game worked and failed. Instantly lost the trial even I still had 2k honor
I just completed the 3rd trial and all 6 tries I made it to the 3rd part of the trial, made it to the boss 2 times and after 6 tries, I breathed victory a sigh of relief and took a nap.
I could tell just from seeing your casts and minions that your build isn't close to optimized. You can't call for nerfs/balance when you're not even using the systems to their full potential.
just slap on some honour resistance, they are not even hard. and it isnt really comparable to darksouls since in dark souls when u are stuck on a boss u aren't progressing. when u are stuck on a trial u can still keep doing it, u still get exp and currency and such. and u can also come back later with more gear if you'd like.
Na, try it with no relics as melee.
27 tries on day 2 for first ascendancy
If relics could just be found outside of trials as well, it would probably be a lot more digestible for players.
