My favorite part is the audience reaction to the finish. They are all his peers, fellow magicians, so when he does the hammy fake palm at the end, the laughs spread... Then he reveals the empty palm to a roar as he asks if ahe wants to change cards - A coup de gras that absolutely destroys the room as he reveals the signed queen.
Their reaction in the moment tells you everything you need to know. This is a masterpiece, and his peers all know it instantly.

I think he had severals of the same signed card. It was first signed by the spectator but then he added took the pen and rubbed it around on the card so that it would look like the prepped signed cards. And got the feeling he was adding a bunch of queens... and when counting to 5 I think he many possible ways to exit the trick as if you look it seems the third card on each pile was turned so I think he was prepared for another exit strategy if required.

I don't know how this will translate to your currency, but here in the U.S.A I got started in magic for about $50. For context, an 18 year old working for $8 an hour can afford that after a two 8 hour shifts and still have money to buy food and gas. If you're willing to read books in english from 100 years ago (my favorite books) you can get started with "The Royal Road to Card Magic", "Bobo's Modern Coin Magic" (those are 100 years old and still have fantastic material) and "Mark Wilson's Complete Course in Magic" (more recent, less detailed, but with more kinds of magic). Royal Road and Bobo will keep you occupied for a year each if you decide to really put time into the tricks in those books, and both cost about $15 in the U.S. You can go a long way with both of those books. The Mark Wilson book contains a wider range of magic, some of which uses props (not cards or coins), so if you're looking to do magic with more than just cards and coins, that's the place to start. That book is currently $18 on Amazon.
If I were in your situation, I would pick cards or coins then buy the corresponding book, Royal Road, or Bobo's, respectively and master a single routine in each chapter of your chosen book. None of the routines in those two books require anything more than a deck of cards or some coins (with small exceptions in Bobo, but you can skip that chapter easily). Once you've done that, you have enough knowledge to create your own tricks.

He forced the card at the beginning and scribbles over the signature for a reason for the final reveal at the end. The way he holds up his fingers he forced the number 5 position. He placed 3 of the Queens in the fifth position in 3 of the piles. When he stood up he did a deck switch. In that 'marked' deck, most of the cards are the queen with his scribble on it. It didn't matter what card she picked as all the face down cards were the same. ☺

Having watched this probably 50 times now, your reaction to the routine made me so happy. It’s one of those things that when you know to look for something it subverts your expectations and I think it’s brilliant. For the person that got me into slight of hand, and the person making me want to continue, magic is fucking dope. Don’t ever quit.

If they're putting cards everywhere, there'll be a packet that stays in their hands.

What a great act! The one-handed doubles were so nice. Thanks for this one Chris, take care.

Lennart Green is probably his inspiration because Lennart Green is the ULTIMATE GOD of this kind of routine.
It's actually used in gambling to make people think you couldn't POSSIBLY be cheating when you can't even shuffle the cards.

He’s the most annoying magician. I can’t follow what he’s doing and he’s boring me. Far too messy and stupid……NOT FOR ME.

He's the opposite end of the spectrum of Shim Lim. Yet both are so incredible. I can't fathom how much training that took. It's all invisible.

Fantastic talent, super funny, clearly an amazing magician-but I personally am not a huge fan of the overly purposely messy and the overly acting dumb part of the routine. I’m not hating-as magic (much like music) is a very subjective thing. I like magic that is both fun and playful. I think Shin Lim does a good job finding that balance. I’d personally prefer a little less messiness/acting and a little more beauty in the trick. With all of that said-well done.

Btw. Watch and react his Fool us Us version. The finale is kinda more mindblowing. 😁
