Bought my '57 BelAir in '67 with 49K on a 235 Blueflame 6. It had auto & Power Steering. Paid $150. I live in SW Ontario and the Chevy was NEVER driven in the Winter. The original owner bought it new when he retired in Spring '57 and he drove it to Florida every Fall for the Winter. I had it for 2 yrs and sold it to a guy in Dearborn Michigan for $200. And, like we all say, I wish I'd kept it. Awesome car. I just retired and am looking for a Summer cruiser but it's going to have to be a ragtop. My Dad bought his first new ragtop in Fall '58 and bought 6 more in the '60s. Got to have a ragtop. This 4 dr is a beauty. though :~)

Jesus, I wish I lived in the 50's through all of this car glamour.. Much better than today's over-computerized touch-screen plastic cancer. I am a 90's millenial who hates the direction cars are going.
I mean, family cars like this had the most detailed and stylish interiors and exteriors. It is a car that shows the pride of the jet/space age with the tail fins and the engine nacelle styling on the front hood and grille.. I mean, today we have 2010's cars with angry headlights that try to make a Honda Civic look like sporty, all full of hypertension and jagged stealthy angry designs to promote road rage.
Seriously, I think I was born in the wrong decade...

I I had learned to look at cars from you. I now have little knowledge of what to look at when buying an older used car especially looking at the tel tel signs on the door lips, under the chases, to the engine bay
