- In my journey to reach Rank 1 with Human, I obviously had to stop playing Orc for a while, and in that time, my Rank as Orc dropped a couple of spots... Can we clean up this leaderboard and have both Rank 1 and 2 with those two races?

I wonder if that peon play - even though realistically they were probably intended to tower as a followup to the rush - was an example of tempo vs value. The undead made the mistake of sacrificing tempo (mana) by using spells on peons (attempting to gain value). Idk if it was relevant in the end, but still fun to think about.

Grubby Human vs Grubby Orc
I think random can't be your worst. If you random Orc or Human you're close to your best, that's 50% to be one of your fav two races. Plus it seems to give you Human 75% of the time.
I play about 20 games a week and I always seem to get Human/.
Getting random Orc has the advantage of playing your best race and opponent not knowing about it, but also the disadvantage of not having your Orc map vetoes. So e.g. Grubby mentioned that as Orc, he vetoes maps where it's easy to expand, while he does the opposite as Human; but he can't follow that strategy with Random.
This reminds me of the Bugs Bunny cartoon where he was the entire Baseball team!

I’ve always liked human most, but their harder to play not aggressive enough. Maybe I will go for orc? Can be confusing not to forget to spirit link etc
And as soon as I fail at that, he’ll go show how night elf is done
The first game was amazing.. he had 3 heroes better headhunters blood lust and still lost the fight.. this shows to the untrained eye how much difference other aspects make in the fight(micro,position,items,etc)

I fully agree. Broodwar, Warcraft3, Age of empires2, TiberiumSun, Yuri's Revenge, even unknown gems like Kingdom under fire, they all mop the floor with SC2 and newer.

Sounds and looks like a million mouseclicks without any use just to get a lot clicks per minute.

its not without any use, just without a good use. He who rests will rust. Gotta keep the apm high in preparation for the "lategame" fights
Might be the case. I am just a casual gamer, therefore I have a lot of respect for everyone who can play on such a lvl. And I know that it is very important to be fast, but I had the feeling that there were way less clicks during fights, in which I believe should be a lot more.

I think it's also bc the beginning of the game can put you in a lull while you wait for everything to build

Nightelf is gonna be great, moonwells allow solo hero somewhat viably. The rambos we will see!
I think utilize the skill from solo hero but dont limit yourself to it, as if you have a hero that strong than train to 50pop then game is EZ
