For anyone else who comes here: This recording of Stabat Mater is special because the tuning used by Goeyvaerts deviates from the common modern 12-tone equal temperament tuning. There's another video of this ensemble where they explain in more detail and include this same snippet from the recording. In layperson's terms, the string harmonies may sound "richer" or "brighter" than what you are accustomed to hearing. I think it's fantastic and am saving up to purchase the mp3 from Amazon (since other purchasing options are unreasonably expensive).
Even though Lionel Meunier isn't here (and surely that's only because there's no bass part in this piece), you could argue that this is a Vox Luminis performance, as all three singers are core members of the group.
