Beautiful and functional! The thought of double foot rings for such a large lid in case it warp is an important note to me. I will try making this. Thank you very much!

@ 11:27 what's the name of the gauge you're using to measure? I tried to find something like that on Amazon and couldn't.

Thank you for your comment Catherine 😊 Try to put this in the search “150mm LCD Digital Caliper Electronic Vernier Micrometer Measuring Tool” . I check now and still there. 15cm one is nor expensive. under £10 .It worth having one when I want to do tight measurements.

Love your calm teaching technique. Do you glaze fire your lids on the pot, or separately? Thank you, glynne

Thank you for your comment Glynn😊 Most of my pots are fired lids on the pots. But some cases are exception which has large flat lids. Those pots in this video were fired lids on the pots but as I showed in the video I made double foot ring for the lids just in case if there was the sign of sagging at bisques fire I will fire the lid separately and inner foot ring would support the center to drop .
This will depend on firing temperature, type of clay, lids’s thickness etc.
I hope you try this flat jar! please let me know.
