You make it look so easy, damn!
Are these pieces leather hard? Would you ever recommend to do the merge when more wet?

this is sooooo awesome . You soundn a bit like Simon Leach .. :) so much so that I had to look at your name again!!haha .. first I said . Oh I didn't know Simon had a tattoo!! haha.. I love you both so much .. Great potters... Great teachers.. gentle souls ♥ I love making two piece pots.. I love your technique with the tung and groove method.. and I never realized to put White Vinegar into my slip .. Thank you mate for opening that door .. !! as I looked up about that .. I found paperslip vinegar .. sweet! Thank you Steve ..

I’m going to try running my thumb on the top of the lid. I’ve had problems making the pot stay centered.

In Thailand they are obsessed with putting Buddha as high up in the room as possible. I think your head is not supposed to be higher than the effigy. Maybe that doesn't apply in Japan. I have one of four 24" (61 cm) vases Schalck made twenty years ago that were thrown in three parts plus the lid, I don't know if he used the tongue-and-groove technique.
