Aww Emily, got me a bit emosh when you we saying what a difference this channel has made to your life and being able to work from home to be there for your boys, you're such a genuine person ❤️ I have never had the luxury of working from home before COVID and its been amazing to be there more for my 3 but they 16, 14 and 10 now and it makes me realise how much I missed of their early years being at work, I'm so glad you've got the spend the precious early years with them 💕

As someone who has had Shingles I have vaccinated both my kids against Chicken Pox. Once you have chicken pox the varicella-zoster virus stays in your body. When you are older you can then get shingles which is a very painful awful thing, and you can get it more than once. If you haven't had chicken pox you cannot get shingles. Just something to think about :)
Exactly, Kate! Hi! I've just recommended the vaccine to Emily fot thus exact reason. Shingles are horrible. I think you would like to know that there is a vaccine for shingles too, it is offered to any elder and to some specific groups
Yes! I cam here exactly to write a comment about shingles! Had it last year after getting a covid vaccine, which probably along with all the stress I had made it come out. Shingles are awful and can make a life miserable for a long time. Emily, please read about it. I’m not a pro-vaxer but I’m glad my kids had vaccines and not a real chicken pox bc of shingles.
I think it’s interesting that you guys do not do the chicken pox vaccine in the UK!
we don’t have a booster as an adult here aside from shingles vaccine which you only need if you had chicken pox
That's interesting about the chicken pox. In Australia all kids get vaccinated for it now days and get a booster at the start of secondary school as part of the vaccination schedule. Apparently the vaccine is more likely to prevent shingles as an adult as well (shingles is so painful too - I had it and wouldn't wish it on anybody!).
Same in Canada.
Awwh Emily- poor Fraser lm glad that he’s starting to feel better, nasty bug. The gastro bug did the rounds in Melbourne a while back too. Isolation has had an effect on everyone’s immunity. I really appreciate you and your channel Emily- we’re grateful for you too ❤️🌟😘

Hey there, I got the chicken pox vaccine as a baby and then my doctor initiated the booster conversation as an adult, so I/my mom didn’t have to remember. I’m glad I never had to actually get the chickenpox. Sounds awful.
Hi my grandchildren were vaccinated against chickenpox when they were little and they are now 16 and 20. Hopefully shingles won’t be an issue when they get older. My husband had shingles and it was very painful. Your videos are always interesting and I love to see them. Best wishes from Australia
I’d double check your research for chicken pox vaccination. It’s just 2 doses six weeks apart. Definitely worth it.
In Australia, we have chicken pox vax in the babies schedule. Almost no kids around our immediate area has had it. I always remember the chicken pox parties as a kid though

I think all moms (here in the States!!) can commiserate that life gets messy sometimes! haha Finding that gratitude in the struggle is what really teaches your kids resilience and resolve. Speedy recovery to Fraser Emily. We have had an electric car for 8 yrs now and really pleased we took the plunge early on when it was still in its infancy. We were fortunate to still be able to get about when fuel was scarce. Building work is coming along great.
Rather than a distorted glass door, I highly recommend getting a frosted glass door - it looks super classy and still guarantees privacy. We got ours from Scotland and it was very reasonable in price with delivery!

Emily check with your GP re the chicken pox bc i believe it used to be thought better to get Chicken Pox bc it was thought you’d have lifetime immunity but they’ve since learned that having it as a child makes you prone to shingles as an adult. I’m not 100% sure that’s still the case though so just to check with your GP is wise!
Glad Fraser is on the mend. My guess for your holiday is Disney World ✨️ Cat wait to find out if I guessed it right, the bum bag is what gave it away for me 😆 xx

Poor Frazer, stomach bugs are horrible, as a nurse your doing exactly the right thing and keeping him hydrated, tip, avoid ibuprofen as it aggravates the tummy more. We have an electric second car, it saved us a fortune, but not good for long journeys, annoying have to charge. Love you as always 😘 thanks for motivation.

Your home renovation process has helped me so much. We just purchased a house with the full plan of remodeling before move in and are now moving and remodeling over the next two years (full gut down to studs and adding a guest house extension) and I keep thinking of you. If you can do it and love a clean house as much as me, hopefully I can do it too. Thank you love!

Hi, I know Emily has a Landrover Discovery 5, only as I had one myself which was perfect with my two children. 100% recommend.
We have a discovery. But save your money on a bigger car as you can have a booster bench made for all 3. They’re not cheap but far cheaper than upgrading your car. They make a bespoke bench that goes across your seats and they all have car seat. Look it up on Google as I’m not sure of the brand 👍 xx
Can you do this for a ford s max 7 seater car do we need garda approval etc. I'm based in Ireland how can I get this

Emily: in Brazil and also in the U.S. the chicken-pox vaccine is part of the mandatory vaccines. It is actually very safe.

Our 5 year old hasn’t ever had chicken pox either! Same reasons as yours - lockdown! I keep saying to my friends if you know anyone with it let me know. Although we go on holiday in 3 weeks so I’m not wanting it now 😂 xx
Personally I hated my electric car (Nissan leaf ) and returned it after a month. It was nothing but problems - I highly recommend getting the newest year within 20-22 if you get one.
My kids were 12, 8 and 6 when they got chicken pox all of them got same day. Never knew there was a vaccine for it . I thought I was lucky my eldest got to 12 before getting x

Get Jackson the vaccination for chicken pox. The reason why is if you have had the chicken pox as a child or adult your risk to get shingles is greater. You do don’t want Jackson to ever have shingles. The Vaccine is better than getting shingles because they itch and hurt.
Emily, I am suggesting that you have Kiki checked because if boy dogs are coming after her then you need to get Kiki fixed quickly before you see blood or what f you let her have her first season get a few pairs of panties for dogs and diapers for her to save your furniture and home. Then, once that is all over take her to the Vet’s and have her fixed unless you’re going to breed her just once.

Aww poor Fraser i hope hes better real soon hun and nobody else catches it too. Your home is lookibg fantastic hun and im so excited to see all the decorating that will be happening once the building work is all finished. Emily can i ask you where you got the coverless duvet from please that is exactly what im looking for as i really struggle with putting covers on my duvet so much so that i dont anymore but the quilt just doesn't look that nice without a cover on. My 4 year old has chicken pox at the moment, just over a week into it now, quite a few in nursery have it. I’m desperate for my 2 year old to get it ASAP as we have a holiday booked in 3 wks, and obviously can’t fly until they’re 100% scabbed. 🤞 xx

Funny you should mention chickenpox, my 5yr old daughter currently has it! And I'm not too far from Brentwood! Lol, honestly I'm not even lying, luckily my girl isnt ill with it just very spotty and itchy. Apparently its going around in her class at the moment. This is the time of year it happens, so Jackson may catch it soon. Hope Frazer feels 100% again soon x

Your comments about chicken pox left me curious. I was born in the UK but was raised in Canada. I had chicken pox as a kid, just like most kids did back then, but for the past 20 years, if not longer, a vaccine against chicken pox (amongst other things) has been part of the routine vaccination schedule for kids, so chicken pox is fairly rare in children here now. Is that not the case in the UK?

I always go to your channel, not only because we are hoping to do a kitchen extension soon too, but also because your videos are warm and cozy, like a nice blanket. Thank you for all you do. Hi, love your channel and have been watching for years. In Australia we all get our kids vaccinated for chicken pox. I was very surprise the UK don't. Kids can get very I'll from chicken pox which is why there is a very safe vaccination and no booster is required. Just wanted to let you know as that's scary they don't in the UK.
🤗to Fraser hope he feels better soon. My girls are immune to chicken pox or something 😕. Been dragging them to every household that had an outbreak and 0.They are almost18, 14 & 11. Building works progress looks 👍 can't wait for the house tour when it's all done.
My daughter’s class has an outbreak currently, she’s had it before and has still caught it again. One of the Mums have been struck down too today 😷 I think 80% of the class have been caught it since Wednesday/Thursday!

I had to get my 11 year old the chicken pox vaccine cause he never got chicken pox, which I don’t understand as his wee friends all had it. My daughter is almost 9 and she’s never had them either yet they went around her whole kindergarten when she was 4-5, so il most likely have to get her vaccinated too. My other son is 4.5 and youngest is 2.5 and so far no pox for them either 🤔🤷🏽♀️

If your child has the chickenpox vaccine they won’t need a booster when they’re older! It’s two jabs 8 weeks apart and that’s it. My little boy had it when he was 2 and I did a lot of research around it. They do the vaccine in Boots or Superdrug for about £120 x

Getting shingles is painful when older , it's caused by having chicken pox !

Hi Emily brilliant video as always love your content your incredible keep up the awesome content your right about kiki she could be in season I would recommend getting her spayed if your not planning on breeding her as she could develop pyometra (womb infection) and need spaying anyway due to the infection but other than that it saves the risk of cancer, keep up the awesome content xxx
None of mine have had chicken pox yet, despite them going around at school and swimming. I'm kind of dreading it because I'm sure all 3 kids and my husband who hasn't had them will get them at the same time! We spent the first 3 months of my eldest starting school with illness after illness after lockdown and I'm a nurse so I should be used to it!
Hi Emily, re the chicken pox vaccine, both of my children have had this (they’re 5 and 3). I researched it thoroughly at the time and am pretty sure they don’t need a booster as an adult. They have 2 doses a few weeks apart and that’s it. Would be interested to know where you read that though as I’m panicking a bit now! Great video by the way. Rachael x

Hi Emily, I'm 22 and never had chicken pox, my brother had it when my Mum was pregnant with me. My Mum did send me to everyones house she knew when kids had chicken pox and I still never got it. When I was pregnant I was in close contact with a adult with shingles and somehow still didn't get ill and I have no antibodies for chicken pox I've thought of getting the vaccine cause at some point both my kids will get it they are 5 and 3 still not had it. I love that Matt just took over and gave a house update x
Oh Jackson defo wants to get chickenpox young. I had it at 17. I had spots in places I didn’t know I had places!! It was horrid. If not go for the jab.

I got chickenpox when I was 28 and it was the worst 3 weeks ever. I actually thought I was dying, not being dramatic at all! So definitely hope my little boy gets it while he's young and gets it out of the way

In Israel, all babies receive the vaccine at 12 months old and than at 6 years old ( unless of course you decide not to). But if I'm not mistaken, when received at an older age, you only need 6 weeks between vaccines.

It is sad that so many people think how green electric cars are but didn't talk about how it is impossible to recykle the battery and how unekology is to manifacture this car batteries, not even about the huge support to comunist china which is the only manufacturer of this batteries. When plastic bags starts it was celebrated as an ekologist option to paper bags which ruins the forrest and now it is the enemy... Electric cars will be the next plastic bags but we have to wait again so many decades for people to see... Nothing agains your channel, I support you years, I am just sad about this...

Emily im a cleaner and seen your struggle with dust because of a building work . dont know if you ever heard of this but try fabric softner on a cloth and wipe down your furniture keeps the dust away a bit longer. just a tip hope it helps plus it smells amazing x

The vaccine is so effective for chicken pox now and even if you have had chicken pox you can still get shingles years later. I’m 33 and have nursed many patients with chicken pox and shingles and with the vaccine and booster I’ve never had chicken pox. I totally understand the logic and the old way of trying to get kids infected young to get it out of the way as it’s easier as kids but we have the vaccines now and they are very good 😊

Chickenpox could be very dangerous, it seems more serious then in our days. In our country they recommend to have it, so I would suggest you to consult your pediatrician.

Your loo's look like you have those new removable loo seats. I don't see you removing them though. I curious as I was looking to changing some out at our house. Are they a pain to remove is that why you don't just pull them off to clean?

So happy Fraser is feeling better. I got the chicken pox when I was 31 and it was absolutely horrid, my Mom took me around my cousins that had it and I never contracted it until my children got it. So hopefully Jackson will get it young. Have a blessed week. Cindy from New York.

You can use apple juice diluted 50/50 with water in place of diarolyte
Where did you get the extendable brush thing for the bath?need one of those,my back is always sore after cleaning the bath 🛀
I would say make sure you get Kiki spayed ASAP if you want life to be easier!
i never got chickenpox as a kid, then my son gave it to me as an adult in my thirties whilst i was pregnant with my daughter, it wasnt the worst thing ive had but i did feel pretty rubbish.
Be very careful with chicken pox. My son got it when he was one and got really ill.
The stomach flu has been so bad around here. A lot of people I know are suffering through the same thing.
