We need to get some two-ship action going, because the fuel burn/rate fight meta is super tough solo. I quite often have 3/4 Fishbeds going at once, but I can’t get the angle on them all quick enough - you need the burner, but your fuel barely lasts 4 minutes when you sit in it.
@@Bullet4MyEnemy If you don't it stops fuel feeding from the internal wing tanks, it does have an emergency system that triggers when you hit 2000lbs but chances are the pump wont be able to keep up if you are after burning from 2000lbs to 0lbs.
@@Bullet4MyEnemy I don’t think it will extend it much as you say probably not the issue, but compared to a mig 21 I found the f-4 to be more fuel efficient. Nothing compared to the mirage f1 tho.
Nice actions! Glad to see you back again! BTW regarding moving mud with the Phantom: if you would not like to set everything with a bombing table the Dive Toss (DT) mode is the go-to for you. It works exactly the same as the A-4, maybe even better. You just tell Jester with the bombing computer that you are going to use DT and set target ASL to anything other than zero so that Jester can dial in the drag coefficient of the bomb in the back seat; then enter DT mode with your weapon delivery knob. The rest is much like the Skyhawk. You just point the nose to the target, hold Jester context button to let Jester lock the ground clutter with the radar, and hold weapon release while pulling. It's even better than the Skyhawk because the radar lock is separated from the weapon release, so you can further adjust your aiming point after you've told Jester to lock the ground. Much more room for error there. 😉
Ahh as i just tried setting the dive angle and run in speed but didn't set the asl and is super inaccurate, so if i would set the asl it would of worked? I did obvs but the table and the jet into DT.
@@Joemate23 Yes the ASL has to be not zero or you can bump it to 50ft and back to zero, so that the drag coefficient of the bomb can be dialed in by Jester. That's the only essential data really. In DT you don't need to care about any other data in that bombing table, just that drag coefficient. Radar would automatically calculate the dive angle and speed when you let Jester lock the ground clutter, just like the A-4.
man the F-4's reputation as a shitty dogfighter is really something considering it ourates most things from the same time period pretty handily (so long as you don't mind running out of fuel in the middle of some field)
I'm always surprised that people can keep track of targets at any sort of range. My eyes just instantly lose track and I am left scanning the monitor for movement as you just zero right in on him, lol.
A trick I found through testing is that first stage afterburner will last you you around 18 minutes to help maintain that rate, but full after burner you only got 6 minutes on a full tank ( clean ) but greater thrust.
I practice the systems and weapon employment on AI then go into the deep end on PVP. Find it better to learn how to dogfight in the jet vs real people.
Hi i have this problem on heatblurs server where other players jets are super hard to see after they get some distance from me, its annoying dogfighting someone then they get a little out of range and insta disappear from my sight and become a small dot. I dont have the same problem on other servers

I didn't find it too be bad, you making sure straight after dropping ur tanks that you put the feeder switch back to neutral?
