Mystic Quest Legend Soundtrack / OST by by Ryuji Sasai & Yasuhiro Kawakami - Ігри
"Battle 1", "Battle 2" and "Lava Dome" show that the composer knew his Speed and Power Metal.
Wrap your mind around this: Cloud has a Shrug Animation. Before FFVII, ONLY BENJAMIN had a Shrug Animation. So...Cloud's Shrug Animation is a nod to Mystic Quest.
I thought 6 had the shrug.
I can't believe there's only...25 tracks...in the entire game. And almost each one is a total banger.
Favorite game soundtrack of all time
Castle of Doom and Final Battle are absolutely crazy
I remember playing this as a high school freshman 30 years ago. It was a bit too easy (and was indeed intended for younger RPG players) but the music will stick with me for the rest of my life because it's so unforgettable.
I can't knock that take at all. This OST is insanely good. Here we are, 90 years later(I'm drinking I can't number), and I still listen to many of the tracks somewhat regularly. Pure happiness :)
It definitely punches well above the weight of the game itself. Although the soundtrack loses a few points for the silly rock band song.
This brought me back to my teenage years I think I played this bad boy in 93 or 94 I would have been 13 or 14 now I'm 43 wow how time flies I feel old. Final fantasy no matter what game it is always has the best music of any franchise.
yeah i'm playing ff14 right now and it has some really great music
You and me both brother
The most underrated OST of then SNES
legit has some bangers. Battle 2 gets me so pumped
Say what you will about the game, it's characters were endearing, and it's soundtrack is one of the best in video games to this day.
I had the Dark King's ost stuck in my head for months and couldn't remember where it was from, I just remember the battleground of your character, phoebe, and the dark king himself. Mind you this was after I hadn't played (or owned) the game in over a decade. It was driving me crazy, then I was watching old Projared videos and came across his Mystic Quest review of it and finally remembered (and bought) the game.
Dungeon and Waterfall and Battle 2 themes are my favorites.
Love this game still remember hiring out this game from Video ezy over 20+ years ago, this game deserves a remaster for sure.
it really wasn't a bad game and the soundtrack is excellent
The game is excellent. It's just a very beginner RPG and the elitists hate that. Nothing wrong with a game that was easy to beat.
It's the perfect game too introduce people into RPGs if they never played RPG at their tire life they could play this and get a grasp at what the real final fantasy games will bring. Even though this is not officially a final fantasy game a lot of final fantasy stuff such as monsters with elemental weaknesses. Like most final fantasy games the undead can be killed with cure magic life magic curative items. Somewhat character classes like Phoebe being a White mage. You even got party members are controlled by the AI like final fantasy XIII. I would never call this a bad game final fantasy 4 babies yes a bad game no because I highly enjoyed it.
@@tecky5296 you know when I first played the game I didn't know that the dark King was undead and could be killed with one life spell I think Phoebe got confused and accidentally cast life on the dark King and killed them and I was like what is that easy but its so dope.
Does anyone else feel the elements 🔥 when 💦 🧊 they 🪨 hear the 🌬 music?!
@@tecky5296 The fact that you actually get to use your weapons in dungeons and that enemies are static/visible, instead of just being walking simulators with a million random encounters, makes this game much better than other FF titles of its time.
個人的に好きなゲーム
May not be the best Final Fantasy, but it certainly has the best OST.
You know what I wish they took from this final fantasy and carried it from the actual final fantasy games the near death animations for monsters. Sure it will take away using Libra and scan but that's just one tern less of Libra and scan.
I love the ost from MQ, but I'd say IX has the best tracks
One of the best soundtracks ever, there's a lot of variety. I especially like the heavy metal style tracks like the battle theme and lava dome. The latter reminding me very much of a King Diamond track.
39:23 Those double kicks!
I used to hang out in that one room in the Middle Tower that lead to the chest in the Last Dungeon long before you got to that part of the game, just to listen to that amazing song.
Yeah, that small glimps at "Last Castle" was awesome
I definitely did the same
SAME!
Not the greatest game ever, but it had a lot to like. Different sprites for enemies as their health decreased and all the different ways the weapons could be used outside of battle were really great ideas.
Not the greatest, no. But Kaeli, Tristam, Reuben and Phoebe were all fun and unique. The soundtrack is masterful, and I always loved the Dark King's response to Phoebe about the prophecy right before you fought him, which amounted to, "Prophecy? I made that up as a joke!"
One of the first games I ever owned. It was a while before I figured out how to actually play and beat it (my five year old brain just wasn’t ready for RPGs even if this is really stripped down in terms of mechanics). The game itself may not stand up well against other entries in the FF series but the music is really the highlight.
the battle sound still kicks in.
That´s heavy.
This soundtrack has some bangers! Battle theme has Mega Man sounding elements 🎵
people are saying that this is epic, huh. let me give it a listen
GOD TIER SOUNDTRACK!
What did you think of it?
@@joshdillon9637 god tier music
@@joshdillon9637 city of fire is just beautiful
I remember this game when I was like, 6 or 7, good way to get into turn based rpg’s and the soundtrack just winds back the clock to much simpler times
I remember this game my older brother use to play this game while the room lay heavy with the smell of burnt grass… and the WZRD Chicago, smashing pumpkins before they were known, shiny shiny boots of leather…damn …I miss my older brother…so I play this to remind myself of him …miss you Alex 😢😢😢
That last dungeon theme. And the Dark King Battle theme!!!! *AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!*
This is my favorite FF to Speedrun. You can get ludicrously powerful so fast in this game. I miss the days as a kid playing this for the first time the most though. This soundtrack always takes me back lol.
It's crazy when I was a teenager I accidentally found out that the dark King was undead and can be killed with one life spell by Phoebe.
@@joselombana8381 Undead being killed by healing is a Final Fantasy staple lol
@@lordbasilisk I know that but I didn't know that when I was thirteen or fourteen years old. I only played two final fantasy games before this game it was the original final fantasy and I was like 10 years old and I had no concept of the game and final fantasy 4 which was final fantasy 2 for the us.
@@joselombana8381 No ill will, just telling you if you didn't know.
Anyone who doubts the 90s were far better & happier times than now just needs to listen to this soundtrack. It's sad we'll never see (hear) this level of soul & passion in a game again :(
I think FFVII Rebirth rekindled it. That game is pure soul and passion
TY. Especially for the time of each music. (And the selected music appears in yellow on the screen.noice!)
I just played the entire game in my head again just by listening to this music
Dungeon and Waterfall is perfect!
My favorite track in the OST
This game and the other early final fantasies are the reason I fell in love with video game music
This soundtrack slaps so hard
Every other Final Fantasy before and after be like, "Can't... win! Too... metal!"
This really is an awesome soundtrack
yup
Legendary
23:12 would be a good juice wrld sample
i loved the game. had its own style and flavor . very unique amongst the ff titles
The OST goes way harder than the actual game.
Yeah it was one of my favorite games I wish there was more to the story
I really hesitated even trying this game when I got it for Christmas as a child. Got bored one day. Played it. Loved it and did not stop till I got to the ending. Fantastic play, fun and the music never got tiring!
I can't ever not hear the "schwing" noise the crystals make at the beginning
Splendid! Thanks for uploading
thank you for that. One of my favourite game back in the time
Remember buying this and Final Fantasy II (IV) brand new out of Toys R Us.
I thought the game was a lot of fun, I feel it got a lot of non-RPG players into RPGs...the soundtrack takes me back to the 90's unlike anything
Best snes game ever and soundtrack
epic soundtrack
thanks hbomb 💛
Lava Dome is top tier
Anyone else notice there's no aquaria theme on this?
20:20 joined
I was too harsh on this game when i was young, bought it with my paper route money and was an oyed at how sime it was compared to FF2 ,but i played it amd beat it years later. It is only now, 30 years later i realize how weong i was, i wiah i never traded it in along with Simcity and Simant
Greatest Final Fantasy ever! lol jk Great soundtrack though.
Mediocre game, but the music (especially 23:12) is fantastic.
game is kinda ass but ost b bangin
Game is mediocre as shit..bit this OST went harder than it needed too 😅
