Yeap. I am in the USA and have an S14 with full JDM aero, coils, Z32 Brakes, S15 HLSD. I've seen cars in worse condition than mine going for 9K (14K AUD). Mine has not ran in 6 years and I will NOT get rid of it. It is worth more now than I paid for it running. The S-chassis market is insane. I would love an S15 but I know for 25K usd there are WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better cars for the money.

It also has smoked chrome badges instead of shiny chrome ones and it has a lot of extra options. The aus one also has slightly different headlights. jdm also has an a pillar boost gauge, a nicer steering wheel and digital climate control. I had a jdm s15 with sunroof, L package leather, aero kit, Nismo R tune coilovers & front and rear strut braces. Also I had a extremely rare option JDM is far greater. But the average people would still froth over a 200sx

This was the car i wanted since i was 14, only tasteful mods, trying to keep it as close to factory as i can. Drift tax has obviously inflated my sense of value, but im not selling so doesn't matter. The analog driving experience of this car is like a floating leaf down a stream. I agree it's not for everybody, but then again that wasn't the point for those great engineers that designed this car. This isn't rant at all, this is an appreciation for a car that was a breakthrough in my mind, compared to so many other disappointing cars of the time. A true driver's car, floats like a butterfly, stings like a bee. One last note is when kitted well is a jaw dropper at shows. Sexiest car in the world in my opinion, when done properly.

I've owned my S15 since 2005, 18 years now. Its mainly parked in the garage due to the value of it vs risk of an idiot crashing into it. With all its "flaws" there no way ill be letting it go as driving it always give me a buzz compared to my daily shopping cart lol

i have s13 sr20det and had it 10 years,for many of those years it was daily driven and just had bolt ons running 10 psi of boost.out of those 10 years i was only left stranded twice and both were my own fault,once was because i had sucked water into intake and got the maf wet,thi happened because my ic piping holes i cut were too large so when i hit a huge puddle water got past and wet the maf.the fix was simply drying it. the second time was when i came up a steep driveway and the intercooler got caught on the ground and ripped the couplers apart,again the fault was not having ic mounted and car too low. my sister bought a brand new jeep wrangler with 10k miles.in one year it was down 3x and was down longer then it was not,once because faulty ficm relay box,another was faulty seat module was pulling down the can system,another was a faulty sensor pulled down her 5v reference to ground.all these took months for the shop to fix under warranty. ive had a prius and my s13 was faaaar more reliable. that being said these newer cars are junk,ill stick with my 90s cars that dont leave me stranded
240sx/silvias etc are just too expensive these days for beginners to get into drifting,the apeal that got these cars so popular was the fact they were cheap and abundant therfore you break somthing you just go junkyard shopping to fix it.this is not the case now,hell i need a speedo sensor and getting one used is $100,most used parts are expensive now. the predecessor to cheap drifting seems to be the 350z because they are cheap and overly common and parts everywhere at junkyards

Im not complaining by any means but I do know that now it’s 2024 and 350+million merricans can import for road use legally it’s gonna jump up to again through the roof to GTR skyline prices and let me tell you gtrs are actually not that quick stock for $60k plus but the fast and furious back when it was just drifting made it go boom
Every S15 has been crashed 100% They are plastic as compared to an s14 I paid $4500 for mine sold it for $11000 4 months after buying it that was in 2011 though haha
If you must buy an S15 well get an S15 Silvia not this S15 200SX. My Silvia had factory aero, factory pop up dash, factory leather front seats, factory boost gauge, and digital climate controller, was more rigid, and had BB turbo, the rear wiper (just looks more premium than the debadged 200sx look) Also the gunmetal silver badges are awesome. I still gladly sold mine. Storing up treasures on Earth sucked
you should totally buy a silvia. most of the things you said are quite.... obvious. they are old cars. literally. spare parts etc always been expensive for these things because... they only been built in japan and australia. the car only weighs 1200kg at 4.5m length. obviously its a tin can, not a luxury cruiser. S-Chassis was a cheap entrance sport coupe back in its days. quality wasnt really top notch but ok. with the stock suspension etc its propably not even that bad but as soon as you put a stiff suspension in its going to be shite. fun to drive but yes, tin can. I actually have my S20DE S-Spec since 6 years, its stock and never has.... like.. any problems? as soon as you tune them above 400HP some stock parts give up....naturally. not designed for that power. had to do a gearbox overhaul because age/drifting pre owner but meh, that happens. And Nissan Gearboxes in that time sucked massively anyway :| wheel bearing happened. meh. otherwise? i really cant complain for an old car.

@@nathanpaykin i got nitto kit, i replaced 3 vct's sick of rattle so going gears now. my last vct i thought i had rattle but it was spun bearing.
did you check each cylinder for rattle? vcts are expensive may go gears like me if rattle is a problem
