- Hi there,
This is an interview I did with the wonderful band Poets of the Fall in 2007. I'm uploading the whole thing, something I couldn't do before due to youtube restrictions. Since people still seem to be watching the video, even though it is a few years old by now, I guess it's worth it :). Enjoy!
Also, I want to apologize for the sound quality. We connected two condenser mics to the soundboard, but the camera was not able to get the signal - there input was too high, even though the soundboard was set at the lowest possible setting... Sorry...
Anyway, enjoy the video :).
I'm so grateful to know this band
Their music is magic
And I thought that I never could fall in love again after Ozzy... Now I feel like a foolish teenager again! JUST GREAT :D !!!
I love PotF, Marko's voice is so amazing...
"and this is Carnival of Rust" and Locking up the sun starts playing :D
Saw this a year or two ago and I think it should be required viewing for any Poets of the Fall fan :-) It is so well put together and so amazing to watch. And there are so few interviews in English!! Just amazing!!
I dont know if its just me, but Marko kinda reminds me of benedict cumberbatch (Sherlock). Love this band.
Me too man !
Nice interview. It's fun to hear stories from the early years of POTF.
That energy, that voice...them hips! Oh my..
Something I noticed is that Olli speaks very good English here (good as in, mostly correct and no calques from Finnish), but he often struggles to find the words to express himself, and stutters, needs some time to process what he wants to say. Which is natural when speaking a non-native language, sure. But after watching a more recent interview with him (I think 2019?) he expresses himself completely freely in English! Such amazing improvement. He was already amazing to begin with. He's a true inspiration and a ray of sunshine :)
seen POTF twice now and they are just awesome. Love these guys.xox
Excellent! Love this band, can't get enough of their tunes
I have loved this band since they started. This is the best interview I have seen even though it is old. Excellent band..i love them.
Shallow is my favorite song 💖
Mine too
That was one hell of an inspirational beach...!
Marko's accent is wonderful - it's like a mix of American and Irish. :3
This is really a wonderful interview. Thank you so much for sharing :-)
Thanks for uploading this! This is one of the most inspirational interviews ever!
They are so innocent here.. ❤️
❤🖤
It was a great concert.
Still got it on my PC, and still have the link bookmarked to the site, now there is only directories available, so I succesfully navigate to the file in question just to check it ok once in awhile ;)
If you listen a bit to Liam Neeson's accent you'll hear a mix between American and Irish. Marko simply has a Finish accent.
little yes but he speak better english than most of finnish people
they are amazing!!!
This is just awesome!!! Thanks for uploading!!
Love the Interview and Love these Guys
I'm starting to think that Captain is a myth.
+chiffmonkey like a magical unicorn....
+switchboardrevelry I was thinking more along the lines of an Amiga that gained self awareness and built a robot body.
LMAO....
😂 My friend asked me why only two guys ever get interviewed in this band. I should tell her about unicorns
🖤🖤🖤
I love you ♥ I love you ♥ I love you ♥
It's "Delicious", from Carnival of Rust.
are we still alive fellas ?
wow, amazing. Thnx for sharing this ^_^
Delicious.
Marko introduced it and you have a title written at the bottom of the vid, right?
Google :P Just rumors i think! It's the way he moves that makes people say that :P
Ollie (did I spell that right?) reminds me of David Hyde Pierce.
Its just Olli in Finland. 🙂 But Ollie its good too 💪👍
Marko sounds and looks like Liam Neeson to my opinion.
you are great potf
what is the song at 11:45 ?? plz
Delicious
why are they sitting sooooo close? that just seems soo odd
Probably because of the camera shot. It's pretty skinny so they're kind of crammed in.
I really love them

This sounds like nothing new.
