This isn't a great story. But, we wanted to go to Quizno's Subs for lunch a few weeks ago and they are out of business here. I got to thinking about the place and I remembered this mildly amusing tale from years ago.
I got another video in the editor. This was going to be part of that video. Then I decided to just make two separate videos.
So, enjoy this tale of Quizno's and the hobo.

Reminds me once of a trip to Barnes & Nobles. A homeless guy hit me up for some change, but all I had on me was large bills. After explaining that I need to break the bills, I went inside to buy some quiche from the Starbucks inside. As I exited, I told him he had a choice. He cold either have the quiche, or a few bucks. His face twisted all up, and exclaimed that quiche was nasty and didn't want anything to do with it. So yes; beggars can be choosers.
Wasn't there a book in the 80's titled Real Men Don't Eat Quiche? But, yes. My mom's friend used to put together packages of canned soup with napkins and plastic spoons. She had a homeless guy get angry with her when she handed one to him. He wanted money.
I did not realize they are all closed. I like Quiznos, but I guess not enough to have kept them in business.
I checked after this happened. I think the closest one is in Visalia.
I've never tried Quiznos. I'm a Togo's kind of guy.
I've never tried them. Do you have a favourite sandwich from them?
