Extremely well done. Thank you for doing this! That purple really made it look menacing. Same with the unpainted toe claws. That made it look bird like
I really really loved the "scavenger toy customizer" feel you have right here. It is genuine, not made up like some rich imposter customizers. Great job!
I actually like the pyroraptor, it's colors definitely were pyro, and it shares some similarities with a velociraptor (which makes sense since their in the same family)
While I love your paint job, I really wish you'd have fixed the gaping vertical seam on it's chest. A lot of these figures have incredible sculpts that suffer from the manufacturing process and some seam filling does wonders. Plus obligatory black wash and dullcoat.😉
@theterribleclaw4285 unfortunately, I could totally see them doing that. They made the deinonychus smaller than Velociraptor in The Lost World ps1 game.
They Shouldn’t Put The Original Size Of Jurassic Park Velociraptor Aka Deinonychus They Should Be In Jurassic World Dominion Before 2024 Jurassic World Chaos Theory But Why They Change It, By The Way Nice Art Original Jurassic Park Velociraptor Also Known As Deinonychus 10:44
I love the color pattern of this Deinonychus with the brown body along with the black and yellow stripes on its face that mimic scars. If Deinonychus ever shows up in a canon Jurassic Park product then it should definitely have this design. Also I agree that the design of the Pyroraptor is kinda ugly specifically the head and I think that the reason why it looks so ugly is that in addition to the weird eye placement, the Pyroraptor has no lips which both the Velociraptors and Atrociraptors have. If I could redesign the Pyroraptor I would give it a more paleo accurate head with bird like pupils like the JP3 Male and Female Velociraptors, fixed up its wings a little bit, and make the male Pyroraptors have bright red and orange feathers with black stripes along with dark grey scales while the female Pyroraptors would have dark red and grey feathers with black stripes along with dark grey scales. I also think that the Pyroraptor was so underutilized in Dominion as it just attacked Owen and Kayla on the dam and never showed up again just like the Dimetrodons in the amber mines. They should have kept the concept art scene of Owen and Grant facing off against the Pyroraptor while looking for Beta as it would have given the Pyroraptor more screen time in the movie and would have been a nice callback to the first film as one of the things that I didn’t really like about Dominion is that in addition to not showing the dinosaurs on the mainland a lot more, it was supposed to be the end of an era, basically it was supposed to be the endgame for the Jurassic Franchise but it didn’t really feel like that and this scene would have helped that a little. I also think that it was such a miss opportunity to not give the Pyroraptor a scene during the forest fire at the end of the movie as Pyroraptor is literally called fire thief and was actually found after a forest fire in southern France which I think could have been a badass first appearance in the Jurassic Franchise so I don’t know why they instead gave it a scene of it swimming in freezing water.
It would have been nice if Dominion had focused more on quality than quantity when it came to the dinosaurs. There were a ton of species, but most of them only appeared briefly and/or were poorly utilized.
Not only you! I think those dinosaurs designs are awful!! 😫 Let's ask Universal to do beautiful dino designs again. Like the ones Crash McCreery did for the first movies!!
@AtrociCollector The two main methods that I use are staining the joints with alcohol inks, or trying to plan out the repaint so that the joints use a similar color as the base plastic.

Excellent Work! 👏
And Yeah, By its size, JW "Pyroraptor" looks more like Deinonychus.
Great custom! Love the colors used
Thank you! Cheers!
Now there such thing as a Hammond collection deinonychus custom also awesome custom too😮🎉❤
That is sooo cool!!!!! He looks amazing!!!!!
damn I love the stripes

The colors also slightly reminded me of Wolflynx's JPOG fanart of Deinonychus

it look like it from mesozoic beast!!
You do know that the Velociraptors in Jurassic Park are Deinonychus?
They mentioned it in Michael Cryton's Novel.
Yes, there's even JP1 concept art that labels them as Deinonychus!
@@Jurasshole The reason why Deinonychus has never ended up in Dominion is because they knew that the Velociraptors were already Deinonychus.
Now if they actually gave us Deinonychus in a JP film it would be funny if they were tiny like the real Velociraptors.

nice job. :)
imo the music was too loud and too much. personally I'd go with more mellow music at a lower volume too.
i"ll take 14 of em right now!!!!
@jameirevans3395 ha ha, send me 14 pyroraptors and I'll get right on that!

wow that custom is incredible! I'm curious, what would be the price to get a custom like that? amazing job!
$60 plus the cost of the base figure and shipping.

For sure!
How do you move the joints of articulated figures like this without the paint rubbing off?
@AtrociCollector The two main methods that I use are staining the joints with alcohol inks, or trying to plan out the repaint so that the joints use a similar color as the base plastic.
@@Jurassholethanks for replying! May I also ask what kind of brushes do u use? Since I find it extremely difficult to paint eyes on my figures.
@AtrociCollector For the eyes, I use toothpicks exclusively. Depending upon the size of the eyes, I might sharpen them with an exacto knife.
@@Jurasshole is a wooden toothpick a good tool to use?
Is the replacement head on Etsy?
It isn't at the moment. Sorry.
My guy there is nothing wrong with the pyroraptor design whatsoever, shut up :/

Oh well, I appreciate the thought.
