Yes it will, but the laws and hidden rules against non mexicans, should be the same as in the US and Europe, a different set of rules for foreigners, always benefiting mexicans no matter what, as they do in the US always benefiting whites

The biggest limiting factor for Mexico is its limited fresh water source. Much of manufacturing are in regions not too far from the border. Manufacturing requires an abundant water source along with the water use by the large numbers of working people and their families. Mexico would not be suitable for some companies. Apple would not have Foxconn build their mega-plant there with over 100K workers.

México is not only the main exporter to the US, we are the main buyer of US products. No other country buys more goods and services from the US. We buy more that all the European Union together. Chinese ONLY want to sell, but they don't want to Buy. It's a huge difference. The US - Mexican commercial relation is colossal and mutually benefical.

Mexico had a similar difference with Australia and South Korea in mid 2023 before overtaking their economies at the end of 2023.

Mexico is getting not only manufacturing investments, but also investments in other industry sectors. For example I work in the Tech industry and the wages can be really, really good. Skilled managers in Mexico can earn about the same as people in the same roles in some Western European countries, and for sure more than in Southern European countries.

@@AngelicoCiudadUnlikely. Mexico has a young and stable population of 130 million, not growing much or shrinking.
Mexico's current GDP per capita is $15,000 having surpassed Russia in 2023. And having surpassed Australia, South Korea, and Spain in total GDP.
It's very likely Mexico's total GDP will surpass Canada, Italy, Russia, and Brazil's this year, considering growth rates, to become the largest economy in Latin America and 9th or 10th largest in the world (with half the population of Brazil, and still less than Russia's).
What this means is a higher GDP per capita closer to that of a developed country, and accompanying improved infrastructure and HDI.
It already shares very developed areas akin to that of developed countries today.
With decreases in poverty and rise of a larger middle and upper classes, you'll see many of the present issues decrease.
Mexico is already the Latin American country with the most foreign direct investment and largest number of infrastructure projects. In fact not just Latin America, but across the world.

German companies in Mexico: Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Volkswagen, Bosch, etc. French companies in Mexico: BIC (which announced a new plant in Mexico last year), Stellantis (same; maker of Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Maserati, etc.), etc. And also Spanish, Swedish (IKEA makes mattresses and sofas), Dutch, Swiss (Nestle), etc.

    Mexican businessman here:
With nearshoring, a lot of investment is coming and it is true that its effects are already being seen, such as the reduction of poverty, but there are points to clarify.
1.- The Mexican workforce is basic, in Mexico everything is done except things related to science and technology, it is not that Mexico manufactures chips, some of its own brand of appliances, none of that.
2.- For some reason, the United States prefers to have better free trade agreements with Korea or Vietnam than with Mexico.
Why does Korea and Vietnam allow technological exchange and Mexico does not?
3.- the current economic bloc represented by the USMCA has already been surpassed by the BRICS bloc
Personally, it is good to take advantage of the nearshoring opportunity, but I don't see the extraordinary future that the propaganda tells us.

The lack of critical thinking and analysis in this video is shocking. Look at the trade figures - trade between the US and China has gone down because of the trade war and tariffs imposed by the US. And trade between the US and Mexico has gone up drastically to overtake that of US-China trade. However, trade between China and Vietnam has shot up, and trade between China and Mexico has also shot up. And Chinese companies have invested in Mexico. Just connect the dots - consumer goods from China are making their way to the US via Vietnam and Mexico and other third countries. Win-win for China and these third countries. The only loser is the US consumers who get the same goods from China, but at much higher price due to the middlemen.

China is not losing to Mexico. In fact China is gaining in Mexico, as China is now the 2nd largest job creator in Mexico after the US. China is building at least 10 different industrial parks in Mexico. The Chinese ship their 80% completed products to Mexico, and Mexico assemble the other 20%. They do all that to avoid Tariffs for their products. They are doing exactly the same in Vietnam. Vietnam's export to the US had also increased significantly in the past 3 years, and it was because the Chinese are building many factories in Vietnam, and now Vietnam is dependent on China for job creation, which is why Vietnam is no longer interested in working with the US to contain China. In fact the current administration in Vietnam is pretty pro-China, because they know who is giving then jobs. And now Mexico is on the same boat. Which is also why Mexico has expressed interest to join BRICS.

The cartel don't interfere in manufacturing. They're also located in other regions.
      They don't last long.
Mexico has had foreign manufacturing investment for almost a century, especially European and American companies. Germany has all major car brands manufacturing in Mexico since 1950s--Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, etc. France-Italy have Stellantis (Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, etc.), and other companies from Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Holland, all manufacturing in Mexico with no problem.
The U.S. too of course with Ford, GM, etc. and now Tesla.

They dont like Chinese, and they usually try to help working class people and people in poverty. Things are going to be wild in Mexico for the next couple of decades, I'm actually excited to see how it plays out. And how America, will try and play the washed out hero role

*As an America, I feel we can see the effects as there are less Mexicans crossing the border these days than a decade ago. It used to be mostly Mexicans crossing, but nowadays, it's predonimantly Central Americans, Caribbeans (Cubans, Haitians), Venezuelans, and Africans. This must mean their economy is getting better (albeit very slowly). However, they still need to deal with the problem of the cartels, high violence, and major corruption as well as their geography hindering their economic growth. I hope to see our Southern neighbors prosper though. I've never met a single unemployed Mexican. They're hard workers*

We are China!!! As the only fully industrialized and technologically advanced country on this planet. We are never afraid to transfer technology!!! We transfer high-speed rail technology. We transfer nuclear power technology. We transfer shipbuilding technology!! We transfer high-voltage transmission technology!! We transfer basic industrial technology!!! We also transfer agricultural technology! As long as you are willing to do business with China and be friends with China. Technology, product services, infrastructure construction. It's not a problem. We never attach political demands. Come on, friend, what do you want. Of course, except for nuclear weapons.
We invest in Mexico to earn returns, Mexico receives primary manufacturing, and Americans receive Chinese products made in Mexico. We use funds to develop drones, lithography machines, large aircraft, special transport cargo ships, space station/lunar landing technology, artificial intelligence, and quantum technology. Great, everyone is very happy, three wins.
The annual import of large aircraft/chips with a diameter of over 14 nanometers from China reaches 780 billion US dollars, and it is time to recoup this unnecessary expenditure.

Foreign investment in Mexico is growing also because the current government does not cheat on companies by giving preferential treatment to the friends of politicians. Now companies are in a level playing field with any other one and that motivates investments. An honest government is the key to success and we are going to defend it this June.
