Watching Paul just frantically jam bones into his platform in a dog costume and then win in a fraction of the time that everyone else took will never not be funny
More fun facts: - You weren't allowed to place the puzzle pieces anywhere except for the trough and the board. That rule probably didn't make the episode. - You could slap a single piece up on the board to use as an alarm. When it fell off you knew you had 10 seconds to sprint back to the start. So if you trusted the magnetic mechanism you didn't have to look back at the timer either. You can see me doing that a few times in the episode :)
so you couldnt run around holding a puzzle piece trying to figure out where it would go or would that not count because you wouldnt technically be placing it
Also for the BB Canada A or B comps, Kevin said on Twitch they could see the shadows of others therefore knowing what answer they put (stepping up or down) They also used to hear people step which is why they make them take their shoes off now.
I’m a little surprised the US doesn’t do that as well; you would think that would be easier as well. In addition, if anyone would give even a fraction of Gary moments, like he did with “And Scene”, that would be appreciated.
Also, despite not having the majority, at least initially, it does increase the chances of that. Also, while it is hacked or not, the comps, given it setup, does come a tie breaker. Even when people have been outnumbered in the comp. The underdog can pull it out. Jen from BBUS (regardless of technicality, especially as overthinking things is just as detrimental as not thinking things through in Big Brother) as notably Rachel Riley from BBUS12. Hack not not, Majority Rules veers into a social game comp, which is why I’m a little surprised it has fallen out of rotation or is used later in the season, where tweak, if done later, would be more points than elimination based.
Honestly, an even smarter strategy to prevent that would be to decide to alternate between A and B each answer. It wouldn't just be A, A, A each round which will eventually seem suspicious. The other contestants would be occupied enough with their own answers to catch on since hearing alternating As and Bs seems quite natural (even if the answer doesn't make sense in relation to the question).
Pretty much, Paul got everyone to throw the competition via disqualification given how the competition work. Christmas won the comp without the actual competition technically starting as not a single race was ran.
@@Sarahca323 I agree with this. It was a dick move. Anyone else could have won that comp from that group but he purposely picked someone that would make it obvious and rub salt in the wound.
That whole season was pathetic. Paul’s rigged 3 week safety at the start, along with the whole cast being lame. To me BB19 was one of the worst seasons alongside BB9, with only BB1 being worse.
Depending on the actual set up of the j mac puzzle comp (i.e., how big the platform is with the buzzer), I still feel like the optimal strategy would be to literally grab the pieces, bring them with you to the buzzer, solve it there so you don't have to waste any time going back and forth, and then stack them in the order you need while carrying them all back to put them on the board
stewartthehuman I don’t know whether the John McGuire here is the real Johnny Mac as he is portraying himself in another comment. He said that according to the rules that the pieces must remain in the trough or on the magnetized board.
Just as a note - the Majority rules comp thing was actually brought up in the USA version on the live feed of BB11 but production likely nixed it after Ronnie from BB11 came up with this strategy for his main alliance of Jessie/Lydia/Natalie/Kevin/Chima/Jessie to use. Since the comp was never used, obviously this never made it to the main show.
Ironically, had Johnny Mac voted Steve in the Final 5, it would have been either Vanessa or him in the finale. Austin was terrible at quizzes and memory comps and dumb luck didn’t favor him. So, he wasn’t winning either of those Final 4 comps. Without Steve there, Johnny Mac would’ve won Final Four HoH, pitting Vanessa into a 3 on 1 situation. However, she won the Final veto, where she Austin still would have been blindsided to more idiotic extent on Austin’s part. After that, pinning the Final HOH winner is a little tricky as Both Vanessa and Johnny Mac were both good at endurance comps (edge goes to Vanessa but not a takeaway). Regardless, had both Johnny Mac and Vanessa made Final 3, one of them was winning as Liz, despite having locked jury voted with Julia and Austin, wasn’t winning and, given their back and forth rivalry, there weren’t taking each other.
Steve did make right move. That was no argument against that. Also, I’m putting not voting Steve out more so on Johnny Mac than Vanessa since he had more to gain with that while Vanessa demonstrated some control over both Liz and and Steve in the game. In addition, to having to vote him out anyway (and Austin most likely feeling betrayed and blindsided to some extent regardless), Austin was her biggest threat and one a few the Houseguests that could and did get into her ear (think the whole Jeff situation and talking her out of by getting backdoored). So, he was the Houseguest most likely to actually beat her in the end. So, I don’t fault her too much for that.
Great video man. The first hack I remember was bowlerina from bb17, albeit John actually threw the comp. The hack was Rather than dizzying yourself John spun really slowly so he could knock down his pins more accurately.
Albeit unintentional/a by-product of Vanessa’a misting, Austin competition hack of crawling they way he did seemed to nullified the dizziness more effectively than Johnny Mac’s strategy.
God, that clowning around one seems so obvious that I'm impressed it's even a 'hack', feels like what would be the main strat for this game in an alternate universe.
If I recall correctly Kevin said on RHAP (I think the one where he discusses his win) that he got the strategy from Bruno doing it during the triple that evicted him in season 3.
ayo peridiam are you finna make a vid on TAR bc two episodes have been out and I'm curious what ur predictions are my winners pick is riley and maddison
I was hoping you’d include the toothbrush comp from BBCAN1! They had to use a giant toothbrush to scrub grime off of a board, but Emmett discovered that by smacking the board, it actually works better by loosening the grime. Ironically enough Emmett for disqualified from that comp by telling someone else about the hack, because you couldn’t help others, but it was still a really good strategy
I think this part of the reason why there was quite of both controversy in BBCAN7 with Sam’s veto win, where Kyra helped out Sam. However, BBCAN7 did says that was permitted in that comp though.
Some of these hacks, you can make it tougher to hack, like the ball pit. For example, you have to bring back three different colored rubber duckies but there are 8 different colored rubber duckies in your pit. Which 3 colors of the 8 different colored duckies you have to bring back will be written on a piece of paper stuffed in a box that you'll only have access to every time you bring back a duckie. And you hide the different colored duckies in those boxes so your opponents trailing behind won't be like, "oh, the next one is light blue." That way, if they're intent on trying to find all of the duckies beforehand in one fell swoop before dropping them off all at once, they risk spending too much time given that there are a lot of colored duckies in the pit.
Damn Peridiam, how'd you know I ignored last night's episode to watch DuckTales Darkwing Duck two parter instead. Although hacking the casting decision would be really helpful in the long run
For the majority rules comp, how did they know to coordinate? Were they told about this competition beforehand? How did they have time to coordinate and let each other know they were voting the same way "A?"
Several players were superfans of BBUS and this comp was more prevalent back in the day. It usually showed up in week 2 or 3, and one player organized this plan just in case it popped up.

I know this is a Big Brother video, but surprised you didn't cameo in when Penner's team used that 'find all the objects first' hack in that one reward challenge in Philippines.
I’ve noticed now in veto comps when picking house guest choice feels rigged too many times the chip goes back in and gets pulled again by the others. And this past all star season there were a few hacks done!
16:40, I forgot about the Saboteur from BB12. They should've had an avatar of the Saboteur on the BB tv rapping or singing about sabotaging them. That would've been funny as hell. "Enzo, stop throwing up your hand in the air, that's fisting, now go look for your shoes because they're missing." "Matt, you have udders that's a moo, now go and check your bed where there's poo." And then the house would all go to Matt's bed at once and see the poo. I'm dying laughing writing this.
for the fourth comp, janelle did something like it with the veto comp in the mud. she mentioned that put all her keys in one spot so she could go and keep trying them on the veto locks.

In Big Brother All Stars (the good one) majority rules was changed to "Allison rules" where the players had to guess what Allison, who was evicted earlier that episode would guess. My thinking is that the houseguests being all-stars did try to hack the competition and production seeing this and already having the competition setup along with the questions written just changed it to guess what Allison said.
Kevin broke the rules though. He was supposed to walk in the beam at the end to ring the bell and he didn’t. I remember at the finale taping someone asked Trevor Boris(Executive producer) and he just looked so uncomfortable and walked away
