No questions for you. I just wanted to tell you that I appreciate the time you put in to your channel and explaining things. Thank you, and your wife!
Great video for a beginner like me that's learning. Thanks for posting.
You did the right way. I dislike patching holes. Good job
I would love to see a video of covering a sticks wingtip. The compound curves on there tips are some of the trickiest I've seen. Excellent videos. There to the point, an with great insight. Thank you.
great video thanks, about to repair my glider with no idea what I'm doing, iron on order, so any day now, I have a good idea after watching this, you make it look sooo easy.
Thanks! This vid was exactly what I needed to see. After a few years of flying foam and foam board, I recently graduated to balsa with a Top Flite Mini Contender. It's a superb plane, but the other day gravity won... and I needed to make some major repairs. I'm new to MonoKote, and your tutorial answered all my questions. Thanks!
Thanks for the comment Gryf . I am glad that you found this video useful .If you have any questions or concerns please comment and I will get back to you as fast as I can
Nice video , thanks for sharing.
THanks for the video it was exactly what I needed for my first repair for a friend. Keep up the good work.
all the best neal indy
I've always flown Futaba as well.. Never ventured over to Spectrum systems..! I respect your opinion..
Very Good .........
Great video! I have a plane with a checkered pattern on the lower side of the wings. The checks are peeling a little. Can you recommend how to fix it?
I like your videos, I have small budget and appreciation your candor. I am going to be covering a kavalier. the wing tips have me a little nevous any tips?
simply iron them on but pay close attention to the points of the star and use the tip of your iron. use enough heat to seal it down and let it cool. to check it use your fingernail to see if you can lift the trim you putting on .if it comes up just repeat until it is down for good. Do not use a lot of heat as it can super shrink the covering . Look for a vid soon to apply trim
I have a Great Planes You Can Do 3D that I am currently building. I made a knucklehead mistake and knocked a set of scissors off the nail I have them hanging on in my shop onto the wing. (I know, ya don't have to say it) Anyway, the wing has a checker pattern of blue and white on the bottom. I believe the white is the base covering with blue over it to make the pattern. The scissors knocked a hole in the bottom of the aileron right where the white and blue meet. In other words, the small hole is on both colors. Any tips here? I am fairly new to working with monokote so any advice would be greatly appreciated, or if you have a video covering the topic, if you would direct me I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
Thanks for your earlier response. What do you use to clean your monokote finish? I believe the ammonia in Windex will loosen the adhesive?
+Charles Carter There is a number of products you can us to clean your plane . If you ask 10 different people you will get 30 answers..... but I use window cleaner and the cheap rolls of paper towels . you'll go through a lot of them , in the shop and for cleaning .
How do you keep the white stars on your airplane from lifting?
What is roma cloud rc / rc index? You mention it at about 32:48 mins. Maybe you could put several favorite or recommended URLs in text above. (Links)
Good Video! Good Music...Turn Music down!!!! :)
Good job, shame about that music in the background spoils the vid. 😕
You're on crack...that's the jam!
