Not true, I've gotten 9.9 off a continue. It's based on your score at the end - if you get 999,990 score then you get 9.9 intensity. That's just less likely to happen if you lose half your score to a continue.

At the end of Megaman 2: THE SECRET OF DR WILY!!!!111!! the titular secret is that when you beat wily he transforms into an alien and you have to beat him again for phase 2. But then when you beat him it turns out the alien was just a holographic robot that he made he was in the background controlling it Wizard of Oz style
I'll admit: you did beat Classic 9.9 quicker than I did. BUT You *really* didn't need to use any of the hammers. The food one is so easy cuz Kirby's Classic run starts every round with food everywhere. And the giant one comes naturally as you beat Classic with every character; if in doubt as to which route has giant enemies, my mind first jumps to Jigglypuff.
I've worked my way through every challenge now, only used 2 hammers, one for the 3 KOs in Cruel Smash(because fuck that) and for some reason I used the other on the 5.0 Snake one, not realizing you only had to finish above 5, not start out at 5. :p
Of course I miss Break The Targets. Of course. I could not forget Break The Targets and remain a good man. But every day I weep for Board The Platforms.
Just a note: Mii Fighters getting shafted (I mean you could just make one that's based around some of the games they've been in, or just base the entire thing around Miitopia with your Mii beating up Miis with weird conditions and adding them to your party).
The recovery item challenge you coulda done for free by playing Kirby for Classic mode...5 food items spawn right in the middle of the stage every round
